I think it depends on which power mode you use, if you high then it'll change screen resolution as well. I think the description under each of them explains.
Also, adaptive power savings shouldn't change screen resolution based on it's description below the toggle.

Unfortunately it does. Me and a few others have experienced it. When we leave our phones idle for a while, it kicks the phone into medium power saving mode which in turn drops the phone down to FHD+, turns off AOD, slows down the CPU, etc.
It seems like adaptive power saving mode is broken in the way it should technically work.

Ah ok, thanks for the info. Didn't know it will do that. Just turned it on when I posted that, I'm going to turn that off now

Battery life for me is great. Ive mad e a good few teaks such as turning any features that i dont use, off etc I disabled background activity for most apps, turned off location, bluetooth, fetch data and so forth
I have however left it at max resolution and i also use normal bright wallpapers like the ones that come as default but on the flip side of that i have turned off motion effect and enabled a dark theme so that my dialer, settings etc are black.
I roughly get around 8hours screen on time with maybe 1d12hours standby and 10-12% battery left .
How some people are getting 10 hours sot without changing much is beyond me

Wow, that's pretty bad battery life then. I get better than that with my regular S10.
It's not great. The kicker is that it's better than mine and I have a Plus. It's not been great for me.
One thing I've noticed is that my podcast apps seem to be something no one with great battery life is using.
Wow, not too good bro. Attached is where I'm currently at. I already have more sot and I still have 41% to go.

Yes, it has.
It's been supremely disappointing watching everyone get these crazy numbers.
I love the phone but my battery life is inadequate.
