Pretty much , if it said just 5G then it isSo it basically is a lie by AT&T to make people think it is using 5G when it is really LTE ?
Which in this case I guess tells me that the phone did switch to LTE like I wanted?
Yep 5G seems to be one of the worst things to come along for the consumer since non removable batteries
It's funny because I can remember when people said the same thing about 3G on the Crackberry forums. That was the main difference between the 9000 (had 3G) and the 8900 (no 3G) on AT&T, which I used at the time.
Turning off 5G on mine at least doubled my battery life per day, if not more.
