It just occurred to me that the AC store might have the stock Atrix battery for sale. It turns out it is the BH6X, the nomenclature of the battery hasn’t changed.
Sold starting at $39.95 with the proper door included.
So, the Atrix standard battery and the Droid X extended battery are the exact same battery. I wonder then what the variable is between the experiences of some compared to others. Why is it that this battery can apparently fit in some Droid Xs with the standard door and not fit in others?
Personally, the BH6X will not fit in my X with the standard battery door. When I first got the BH6X I had tried to make the standard door fit just out of curiosity; I used quite a bit of pressure and decided to stop before I broke a $300 brand new UBER phone. Sure, I bought the phone new for $149 but that was after the $100 New Every 2 deal and a $50 rebate for some other reason (I think it was for upgrading my service from voice to include data). If this phone broke on me after one month of use, then a NEW replacement would have cost me the full price (unless I did some seriously begging and haggling to a sympathetic customer service agent). Getting a refurbished phone was not something I wanted to risk.
