Since All four big US carriers are letting customers exchange replacement Note 7, does anybody know if BB is doing the same now?

I may jump ship, there may be a recall anyways. Even if there isn't (so much bad press and much earned) who's gonna want to put time and effort into updating this device or developing new ccessories for the N7 anymore? No way will we get a functional tempered SP.

I am considering the V20 now, at least a tempered SP will work with it, I can use it on a plane, cruise, or alike without getting shunned. Don't get me wrong, I love the N7, I just think its dead in the water now.

Not unless Samsung allows it along with the carriers. Seems an eventual Yes, since the carriers are apparently doing it now. IMO no other device touches the Note 7 for features and overall experience. Will keep mine unless there is a "forced" recall- ie, they update and cap the charging again, or do not support it. THAT is the biggie IMO- no support if a killed device.

The findings are going to be critical to the direction this goes. Carriers will be done with the Note 7 if findings are bad.

I will keep mine as well. If it's not as many as last time or if not more. Then i will keep my N7. I like my phone and really no issues. If i have to get rid of it then i wouldn't mind going back to my N5.

I like my N7 too but it is dead if the carriers abandon it. And no reason for them to waste resources on updates for the few still holding onto the N7. I believe carriers want to move on at this point, too much extra BS with little compensation (if any at all) for them with all this recall and replacement fiasco.
