BBCode Hyperlinks and Mentions

I was wondering that if I mention a user using the "@" prefix with a bbcode embedded hyperlink to said user, will the encoding break the mention detection (or vise-versa), or will the hyperlink still be treated as plain text for the mention, or even (hopefully) both be a mention/hyperlink combo?
