Be on the lookout for IMM76Q OTA

Usually radio mods are not included in a devs ROM it is a separate file.
Did you flash the jb bootloader when you moved over for ics? I have noticed a lower signal since I switched to aokp p4 but I know it should not be the ROM buy who knows I jump on any new radio that helps the signal.

I used Bugless Beast and kept stock bootloader. My radios are the same as before. It came with all the Google Apps AND Wallet.

IMM76Q isn't a radio update. If it was, it wouldn't be less than 1MB.

Well that's unfortunate to hear. I have been having the occasional radio/voice drops since getting my phone in April and it has only seemingly gotten worse lately. I was really hoping it wasn't a hardware issue and that some kind of update would be on the horizon to address this problem soon, but that doesn't look to be the case. I guess I'll be visiting Verizon for a replacement device before long. Wonder how many I will be going through until I find one that doesn't have anything wrong with it.

Probably quite a few.

Well just came out of Verizon and of course I am trying a new SIM card first...hopefully it works but from what I have read on other threads, I better not get my hopes up. Btw, the lady that was waiting on me had this phone as well and said her's is doing the same thing. Honestly not a big surprise though..

Well that was extremely short-lived. First call on new sim card dropped all connections while in a call within 30 minutes of leaving verizon. Was still in a great service area too. Dropped for about 15~20 seconds just like old one..

More likely your hardware is defective.

Voice is carried by CDMA, not LTE. CDMA subscriber info is on the phone. Your phone is likely defective.

Yeah, I was afraid of that. Guess I will try to get a replacement sooner or later. Just hate the thought of getting a certified like new one instead of the brand new one I started out with and also getting in a rush and putting all my stuff back on it and then the replacement start acting up with the same or different problem.. guess you never until you try though. It's just strange, the signal drop problem seems to have gotten worse the past few days or so..more frequent for sure.

I have had my gnex for about 5 months and just last month my phone started having this problem. Why would it start all of a sudden is my question? Everything was good in the beginning months just seems to be getting worse as time goes by.

Yeah, mine didn't seem nearly as bad the first couple months (I have only had it since mid April though) too. In the past 24-48 hours though, it has dropped three or four calls because of these issue and I have noticed it more just throughout the day lose all signal. Who knows..

Your phone is definitely defective.

If it makes you feel any better, I had to replace my original Gnex when they launched LTE in my area in June. It would work fine on CDMA only, but on LTE, it'd drop both voice and data like 10-15 times an hour, for like 20 seconds a pop. I got it replaced, with a "Certified Like New" phone. This was June 13th. When I got my "Refurbished" phone, it had a build date of 5/28/12............needless to say, it's a brand new device.

Oh, and it works perfectly.

Good to hear. I'm just saying that with all the the posts I have read about this problem, it is more unlikely to receive a properly working unit the first time around. Sure some have lucked out like you and have only had to have theirs replaced just once but many more it seems have had to do this multiple times..that or just live with the problem for now, as the lady at verizon I spoke with. Glad yours works perfectly though. Perhaps I will have the same kind of luck.

yeah search seems to be a bit faster and my phone is actually keeping its 4g signal and tradeoffs between 4g/3g are alot faster. It seems that they changed some sort of software within the build.

but if anyone can do anything with the system files for releasing a leak just let me know and ill upload it to somewhere so the leak will be available to all.

I received a CLN device today with the IMM76Q update installed - dropped radios while setting up google services the first time I booted up the phone, a whole 30 seconds into it. Dropped 3 more times in the next 15 minutes so I called up VZW to send out another one - #9 ....

Well, I received my replacement device yesterday and so far so good..except for just a couple things. I will mention those in a bit. This one, however, was made in Korea instead of China like my original. It has the build as the title of this thread, "IMM76Q", instead of IMM76K and also has the version .09 radio instead of my original which had version .10. I looked at the RTN and oddly enough it has no reconditioned information except "no". I find this somewhat odd being a CLN device. The date below the battery is 7/17/12 I believe give or take a day. The only issue I have noticed so far with this particular device is that the screen/colors appear to be kind of dull. The blacks just aren't the same and quite as dark as my old device.. Also, I noticed on some screens while performing a screen test app that there is some burn in where the notification bar is and seems when I'm scrolling down a white page that if you look closely you can see some type of slim line going across the screen about exactly mid way..usually have to look fairly close though to notice it. Other than that the connection has been rock solid thus far under both 3G and 4G. Haven't made too many phone calls yet but haven't noticed inbound/outbound audio cut outs as of yet. If only this screen was as good as my last one..but I guess it could be worse..

I had a nexus which I loved but I couldn't take the issues I hope my S3 will be better. So far signal strength is better.
