what is that battery widget?

thats the "battery left widget". it calculates how much time you have left on the battery before it will go dead. it is a good widget but it is a pain when you are waiting to calibrate it so that it reads accurately.

if you are overclocked i would use the "battery life" widget. it gives you the percentage of battery chard that is left and the battery temperature. plus i personally think it looks the nicest out of all of the battery widgets because it has a higher definition (for the droid atleast) so it doesn't look pixelated or dull.

out of curiosity, why is there a bar going through your launcher and shortcuts? its looks like the is bar cut-out across the whole section? is that the ADW launcher?

I'm loving the new ability to make weather icon skins.
They're by far more of a pain to design than widget skins though, that's for sure!

Here are my 3 submissions so far.

Graphic representations of each weather situation inside a circle. I tried to make one that might work well with ReaLigion and Xeudoxus' DarkEdge theme. The lines may be a little too thick though.

Continuing on the minimalist theme.. Each weather has an abbreviation.

Each weather situation has a color reflecting the conditions. Red for storms, white for snow, blue for rain, yellow for sun, and so on.

I like the new update to Beautiful Widgets that uses thier new live wallpaper, my only thing is if you use the new wallpaper not only do u have the sun or moon in your normal widget but now you have it on the live wallpaper too. Kinda odd that you can't disable one or the other..unless I'm missing something.

There should be a weather skin (under config, near the bottom is the button to pick a weather skin) that is nothing and see through. I have my sd card mounted so I can't look right now, but it is there.

Old BW Skins
I never got a chance to fix the low res of the numbers, which I notice that Weather Widgets also had this issue. Everyone seem to have moved on to the new version of BW.

This is what I've been working on since I had some time. My HolyGhost Glass Theme for the new version of Beautiful Widgets.

These screen shots were taken by christim. So all credit goes to him for helping me. I couldn't do it since my incredible doesn't have root. The White numbers are now redone an are in high-res, unlike the older ones (up top) that had jagged edges.

The portrait is all done, but since I don't have my Moto Droid any more I can't make a landscape one. The Droid Incredible doesn't show BW in landscape. So I can't do edits, test it, edit, test it...etc. So anyone with PS experience that wants to help me make a landscape of these please give me a pm.

Yep you are correct, after a recent update of my BW I was able to see this option now, thanks!

Is there an FAQ somewhere for Beautiful Widgets? I bought it off the market, but for some reason in the settings screen it wont display the skins to download all the time. I got it to list them out once and got the Droid skin, but that's it.

Sometimes you just have to be patient. The skins can take a while to load with their previews and everything. Tama's working on speeding up the loading, with server-side optimizations and such, but it's still a ton of skins.

Yeah, I found that being in a strong 3G area, it was able to list them. However, are the wallpapers supposed to be part of the "package"?

BTW, I do stupid things and tinker a bit too much but I have to say it's the best way to learn. I almost bricked my phone playing around with HelixLauncher (totally my fault). I thought I was done for, but I reinstalled my 2.1 Samsung Android OS upgrade and was back in business. Good thing my contacts and calendar are in the cloud and reinstalling everything was a piece of cake. Gotta love Android!

Those are some nice looking skins. If you download LaucherPro and use that it flips BW to landscape I think.

When do you think those skins will be available? they look nice.

I've got the beautiful widgets smaller home running on my X. It looks fine, but the weather stats will never update. The temp and forecast always stay the same. Any tips and/or tricks to get these features to work?

It's actually a widespread issue. Even google's weather is stuck. They're working on it according to their twitter.

I have a question that I'm hoping someone can answer. I've been wanting to get rid of the ugly giant clock but when I get rid of the clock, I get rid of the weather & animation. I have other weather widgets, but they don't do the nifty animation. Would Beautiful Widget be able to let me have a small clock and a small weather widget that gives the weather animation? I'm not sure how else to do this.
