BEEP! BEEP! Yes, I know it's charged! LP update notifies when charged... over and over

I got the lollipop update and aside from spending several hours trying to figure out how to get my scheduled silent times to work (found an app), I discovered that now my phone will beep when it is fully charged. Then beep every so often until I unplug it. It didn't used to do this.

The real world reality is that it beeps all night long next to my bed. I can't find any way to stop this in settings. What were they thinking?

I think I found a tasker work around that turns off notifications when it's between 99% and 100% but this effectively mutes notifications whenever the phone is plugged in so I miss all notifications.

Anyone else experiencing this?

My Note 3 on Jellybean did the same thing, which is one of the reasons I run Xposed Installer - the DisableFullBatteryAlert module stops that. (It probably did it on KitKat too, but I don't ever see the alert, so I don't know.)

Requires root. :(

I don't want to root this phone but thanks. It might help someone else.

I had this happen to me for a while with my Verison G3 (still running kitkat). It seemed to be a charger/cable issue. Switching to a different charger and cable solved it. Have you started using a different charger or cable recently?

I am using the OEM charging plug but a third party cable. Same cable I was using before Lollipop with no issue. I did read somewhere it might be a charger/cable issue too. Do you happen to use a 3rd party cable that is 6' or longer that you could recommend? The OEM cable is so short.

I ended up chatting with AT&T tech support to report it as a bug. They, of course, offered me several troubleshooting steps which amounted to just workarounds (e.g. turn off notifications -??- that's not a solution). So, who knows if they will add this to a bug list or not.

I have tried multiple cables and chargers, including a multi-USB charger with "smart" USB ports. Same problem. Ugh. I'll just silence the phone at night.

I have noticed this as well, kind of annoying but it seems it only does it once as long as I don't dismiss the battery full notification. If I just leave it there and don't swipe it away it doesn't beep again as far as I can tell.
