I'm new to Android Wear (or would like to be). Recommendations?
You are right. Hmm..."Best" is subjective. What are your criteria? What do you want it to do?
I'm currently on my 3rd watch. Began with a Moto 360, then a Huawei watch. I'm now using a Ticwatch E from Mobvoi. I'd have to say the Ticwatch is my favorite. Best price of all of them by far.
You are right. Hmm...
I'd really like to be more of an extension of my phone (i.e. receive notifications, use andorid pay, etc). I'd also prefer to not have to touch the screen all the time, so some sort of crown would be nice (like on the LG Sport or Style).
However, I use a Fitbit and like to go to the gym. So if I could get some fitness stuff that would be great too. But probably more the former than the latter.
Let me suggest the Ticwatch E. The price can't be beat for what you get. Google Fit actually has a lot of options even if it isn't close to the best fitness app out there.

No NFC, unfortunately. It also doesn't have proximity sensor, so screen won't turn off when you cover screen. That's actually pretty nice. Does it have NFC for Android Pay?
Yeah... I'm REALLY thinking about it. Just trying to decide if I want to get this or keep my Fitbit charge 2. Great price though!Let me suggest the Ticwatch E. Ticwatch hands down
Second the Tic E. I have the Huawei Watch 2 Classic as well, but it's probably going back to Amazon.
How is the screen in direct sunlight?Agreed. I've had the LG Watch Urbane, Huawei Watch 2 Classic and now the Tichwatch E. The screen alone is worth it over the Huawei Watch 2 Classic.
Key question. I love my Asus but can't see it at all in bright sun.How is the screen in direct sunlight?
I did some research and it is rated very bright but is not Androidwear. I prefer true Androidwear. I love my Asus but I do need a brighter watch at the beach. How is the screen in direct sunlight?
