Best APN settings for battery life?

Right now my phone does great on standby w/ Wifi, however using the cell connection kills my battery.

Right now I'm using a variation of

apn: phone
mmsc.mobile.att.net
proxy.mobile.att.net
default,supl,mms,hipri
ipv4

How bad is it? That's usually the norm - standby/wifi should be lighter than cell (which kills)

APN doesn't affect battery life. Besides your APN settings are the same as mine. Check what you have running and syncing in the background.

As Greg said, your APN isn't going to have the slightest effect on your battery. The truth is, neither is anything else you can do. Some of you guys are really overly obsessing about battery life. The fact is, on ALL android devices, it sucks. That's because these phones have such big displays and power house processors. You'll get about 3 to 5 hours of screen time and nothing you can do will change that. You might extend your standby time, by not using the phone, but what fun would that be? The only way to fix it would be to make smaller slower phones, then no one would buy them. Just use the phone, enjoy the hell out of it, and plug it in when needed. If plugging in is not a easy option, consider getting one of those $40 battery packs.
