Tomorrow is new phone day after many issues
My first order Best Buy was shipped Tuesday then lost for 31 hours is coming UPS tomorrow
My second order from Best Buy had errored during activation Tuesday and was cancelled by Best Buy this morning. New order placed through Verizon today (cost $150 more with discount and tax difference) but avoided the hassle and is coming tomorrow FedEx

Thanks been fighting for 3 days to get my girlfriends phone straightened out she was happy to have it straight even if it's next week. I wasn't happy unless she could get it tomorrow too.
She will probably get hers first since fedex usually delivers before 11 and ups around 12 lol

So when I went to best buy the did a reservation on the first day of pre-orders...I have an order number and got emails from best buy and att about my new device...but didn't get any email from best buy or any updates on when I can pick it up

Finally got the email at 11:00pm last night (3/15) that my order is ready for pickup!! yay!!! Wish I could have picked it up yesterday as I am having a small medical procedure done today....oh well...I called and they said no..said I'd have to wait until launch day today (3/16)....FYI..I preordered Verizon 9+ black on March 2nd at the store. Will be trading in my S8.

Got an email last night from Best Buy saying my order is ready for pick up. Now to just make it through the work day...

Picked mine up at the store. Went well. 300 Trade in and 100 applied to my phone. Wahoo. My payment is now less then it was for my s7, plus 25 best buy rewards (in 45 days) for signing up for best by mobile.
I did not transfer everything, only contacts. Photos are backed up and apps can be re-downloaded i did not want to wait an hour to have everything transferred.
The only thing that hasn't worked so far is my Galaxy Gear 2 Watch wont connect. figure that will be fixed in an update. other wise its really pretty, no real button is gonna be interesting to get used to

I am very angry with Best Buy right now. I pre ordered on March 2 at the store for pick up in the store. Never got an email today saying it was there so I went after work just to see. After much searching the guy said that it wasn't there yet and should be within the week. What the H*(*(. I thought pre ordering was a guarantee that you would have your phone on release day. It was all I could do not to go off on this kid. I will give it till Monday and then I may cancel and just go through sprint.

I pre-ordered March 2nd, got the notification yesterday for my pickup today. Setup the appointment for 11:30am PST, got there and they had some issue getting it setup with Verizon. I hung out a while, then got lunch and came back, it still wasn't straightened out, so I will go back on my way home from work for a 5:30pm appointment now. Hopefully, they will have things in order by then. Crossing fingers!!!

Pre ordered March 2nd picked it up today but they would not give me the $100 off or the $300 trade for my s7 edge because I paid for the phone instead of doing payments

they would not let me do the trade-in in store because i bought from bb.com. I was directed to vzw/tradein to start it. i had activation issues and was on the phone with vzw and they told me they are honoring this promotion even if it was bought through best buy. she said i will see only $120 for my s7edge but it should be $12.50/month credit which equals $300. let's see if this really happens.

Same. Very odd as I did exactly the same when I traded in my S7 Edge for the S8+ and they took it for the trade in then. Instead they told me I had to contact Verizon for the trade in. I was passing a Verizon store on my way home from Best Buy so I just stopped in and they let me trade in my S8+ and applied it directly to my account (reduced monthly payments over 24 months). Unfortunately, they wouldn't allow me to apply extra cash up front to lower the payments more.

So far all is well, snappier, except the face/iris detection is a bit slow for me. Not a huge deal as I use fingerprint anyway, just have to get muscle memory used to the new placement. Besides, I also use my Gear S3 smart unlock so as long as I'm wearing the watch, the phone is unlocked.

nice to know. maybe i'll stop by the verizon store tomorrow, and see if they can do that for me too.

That's all I did but with At&T. Got the phone from Best Buy and once I knew I was keeping it I drove to the AT&T store and dropped off my Note 8. Easy stuff.
