Best Buy people for the pre-order of the S9/S9+ sound off below!

Only just a few minutes after it became live of trying to pre-order from Best buy was the shipping not available due to pre-order claims already being fulfilled. Was only able to pick up at Store, which is ok. Rather have had it shipped to me though.

Pre-order unlocked Coral Blue s9+

Coral Blue S9+ (VZ) here as well. Picking up in store because I'm trading in my S8+, which must be done in store.

Also ordered the Blue Alcantara case (from mobilefun). In the past I've had multiple cases at the ready for my phones, but once I had the alcantara on my S8+, I'm not considering any other case, it's perfect for my needs.

Got the midnight Black myself. Ordered right at midnight. I was able to get shipping but it seems the new colors are most popular.
Says delivery by 3/16

I ordered an ATT version for store pick up. The last time I got a new phone, I got it straight from ATT so it was already activated. Will the store activate the phone for me or will I have to do it at home?

They'll do it for you. Or you could just pop your current sim inside and you'll be fine as well.

I dont like best buy but they had $100 off and 300 off for my trade in, reg s9 in black...i changed my mind over the plus model at the last minute.

I agree. I stopped doing pre orders there because they take so long. From reading the last go up of pre orders they seem to have gotten better. But for 100 off we will see what happens. Lol

It's the gift card I didn't like for trade in that I can't apply toward the phone. So I ordered directly from Samsung instead. Would have been nice to use that extra $100 towards the trade in along with $300. Oh well. :)

I'm pretty sure you can apply the trade-in "gift card" to the phone. That's what they did when I traded my S7 edge for the S8+. In fact I never even saw a gift card, they just took the value off the purchase in the form of monthly discounts on my Verizon bill over the term of the contract.

But...to get the $100 off today you only have one option of payment. Pay for the phone over 24 months. If you pay full price the cost is $792 so no $100 discount. At least that's what I found. I don't see how you can apply the gift card to the cost of the phone if the phone is on the 24 month payment plan.

When I traded in my S7 edge after I preordered the S8+, they applied the trade in value ($480) when the phone was activated so the $480 credit was spread out over the 24 months ($20 per month discount). I expect the same will be done here, the $350 credit will be divided over the 24 monthly payments when the phone is activated.

If you want to pay in full why not just do the payment option. Get the 100 discount then just pay it off. It's still 100 off. It's just listed as a down payment.

Since we are having a blizzard here I was the only one in the store so got the supervisor to put my order in...he wrote it up to include that 300 trade in for the S7 active and the 350 I'm going to put down launch day leaving me owing only 40 to att over a 24 month period (which I'll pay off thru att) but had to do it that way to get the 100 off...he said the 300 for the S7 active will just be directly applied to the down payment of the phone and he's going to be there all day on launch day so he better honor it all but it's in writing so they shouldn't deny it unless I somehow lose or wreck the S7 till then but I don't use it so should be good there...so all in all total on the phone not including tax will be like 390. Not bad for a new phone that'll get me out of payments with att...

You're with att allowed to put down 97% the cost of the phone on launch day is what they told me bc something has to be in payments to att to qualify for the 100 discount and I was told the gift card can be used towards the down payment when doing the final contract

I was told the $100 is applied and also the $350 gift card if you want. Every phone I’ve purchased from B.B. with preorder discounts allowed this. Knocks the monthly payment for Verizon to less than $20 per month.
