Does this only apply to those who are due for an upgrade? Girlfriend has an OG Evo 4G, was thinking of maybe doing this for her so she can have a cool new phone.
It's actually a 50 dollar credit for the Evo along with a 50 dollar gift card, and the additional 50 dollar gift card for the pre-order deal. So you have an optional 100 dollars in gift cards, but a dedicated 50 dollar credit. Did you get any information on what state they'd accept Evos in?
You should have also found out if the salesperson would pricematch Walmart![]()
I'm thinking it is according to the best buy website HTC EVO Trade-In ISO Offer I've looked at it and added it up over and over and it's basically another $50 they are giving you just for upgrading to a new Sprint phone. Idk, someone else check it out and see if that's how it seems to you. If this the case then I'll get my E4GLTE for free with: $50 off for the Phone Freedom deal they ran in Feb., $50 off for the Pre-Order, $50 off for the Evo Trade In, and $50 off for the Sprint Phone Upgrade!! Not to mention the Wal-mart price match of $50 off that I can hold as an ace in my back pocket. Does that add up or is this extremely wishful thinking because all of the promotions are worded differently to the point where you have no choice but to keep adding the $50's up?
Silly question, but does the EVO have to have the 8gig SD card to be eligible to be sold back?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Phone is $200 and comes with $50 gift card making it $150. Turning in EVO gets another $50 plus a bonus $50 making it $50. Then your phone freedom (lucky! I missed out) will get you another $50 off. So, you will just be paying tax.

I am a little confused on the stacking and what is available, so let me explain how my pre-order fell out and get some input (thanks in advance for any info).
This past Friday I stopped at Best Buy and said I wanted to pre-order the new EVO. The rep took my info, looked up my Sprint account and plugged in all the info for the pre-order. She then got up and pulled a gift card out of the drawer and said I needed to place a $50.00 deposit down and I would be given the gift card.
I took out my credit card and another rep comes over and says I don't need to put down any money at all and shows the first rep how to enter the codes so that the phone is reserved for me. He then clicked the "email documents to customer" button and then prints out the "Preorder Agreement."
I look at the agreement emailed to me on the phone and it says the EVO will be $199.00.
I mention to the rep that I have the Phone Freedom promo from February reducing the cost by $50.00. The rep says that is in the system, but bring in the email just in case.
So, after reading all of these threads, I am a bit confused on what I am eligible for. So, what are the scenarios and the final cost.
I seem to be missing one of the possible discounts here.
1. Take the Freedom promo only and the phone is $149.00.
2. Take the Freedom promo and turn in my "gently used" OG EVO and the phone is $99.00.
3. From the other thread on price matching, get them to price match the WalMart $149.00 price and then apply the Freedom promo (making it $99) and, if I want, turn in my OG EVO and the cost is $49 for the phone.
But, then I have also read on the BB website that you get a $50 for activation.
I am trying to juggle the possibilities, so is there something I am missing here? I wondered if I should have put the $50 deposit down and got the gift card (or was I purchasing the gift card as a condition of pre-ordering the phone as my preorder agreement states in the tiny print "Purchase of a gift card is required to complete the reservation process."
Again, thanks for any input in advance.
That "should" work, assuming they let you stack it all. My local store is waiting for a response from the district manager.
My local Best Buy had a big sing "Ask how you can get your Evo 4G LTE for free"
This is what they said
Phone 199.99
Gift Card for Pre Order -50.00
Trade in OG Evo -100.00
Phone Freedom Gift Card -50.00
That gets you down to 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000
No reason to even bother with price matching from other vendors.
Even better I am trading in my Epic Touch +349.00, I will walk out of the store with moneyGranted a gift card but it is still money to me!
$100 for trade in of the Evo 4G? Why I'm I hearing, and seeing $50 for trade in?
