Galaxy S8+ Arctic Silver AT&T. Preordered online 3/31 for in-store pickup. Sales tax charged to credit card this afternoon. Order status changed to 'Order Received' Available date still 4/21. We will see what tomorrow brings!

My bestbuy.com order page finally took my payment on my BBCC and it changed from get it by 4/21/17 now to next Tuesday the 25th sure hope that's not the case because I also ordered the same time as you.

IF I'm following.....I'm thinking I should have done an in store order for pickup rather than online for delivery. With online for delivery they take the 100 best buy credit and spread it out over 24 months of payments. Since I upgrade every year that means I'll only get 12 months of lower payments ie half the discount/50 bucks off out of the 100 for the s8+. From what I'm reading in store order and in store pickup would get me the full 100 off up front day one with that coupon the in store pickup orders are starting to get. Could have saved 50 bucks more just doing in store pickup. Ah well, now I know......

The 50/100 discount is the same as if you put 50/100 dollar down payment on the installment. It lowers your monthly cost. You still only have to have paid 50% of your device cost to be eligible to upgrade so you still get the full savings even if you upgrade at 12 months.

That's what it's says on my art app when I go to manage installments, it shows BB have me the 100$ as a down payment and made my GS8+ 759.99$

Not according to the carrier contract Best Buy gave me last week when I pre-ordered the S8+ in-store. True, it does reduce the remaining cost from $850 to $750, just like placing a $100 down payment. The problem, though, is that you must then pay half of the remaining $750, rather than half of the original $850, before being eligible for an upgrade. So when you're ready to upgrade, you've paid a total of $375 rather than $425, which saves you only $50. The other $50 savings goes to the carrier instead of to you.
