Just an update, I got notified today that my Verizon trade-in promotional credit was applied to my account. The $480 for my S7 Edge is more than I probably would have gotten from swappa, and now that I'm on a regular data plan I'm actually paying less per month now than before. Plus the free gear VR arrives today. Good day today.

The only thing that kept me from doing the trade in deal is that I may pay up to 50% when the Note comes out and upgrade. The $480 rebate is in installments from everything I read on the subject. I would have only seen about $120 to $140 of that. I think I sold my S7 Edge for about $300. Best case if I could resist the Note 8 I will only have the phone for a year and trade up to the S9 Plus and I would have only seen $240 total.

I wish they would have applied it to the total amount owed instead on payment discounts.

For people that look forward to the bundles next time just buy directly from Samsung. The same bundle was available and you just simply added it to your cart and done. No fiddle with receipts and whatnot.
