Best Buy Preorder Shipment

Called my BB store this morning around 10am. I was told they havent received anything but there was a memo about delays on the Att GS3

The guys in my store told me that when it comes in, they don't actually know they received it until someone brings it to them. They are checking every hour as they have a number of folks calling for the Sprint version who have preorders.

*Hangs his head in defeat*

Just got off the phone with a representative at BB in Aurora, CO and they did not get their shipment in today (Sprint)! :banghead:

According to them Samsung has pushed back the launch date (we all know that is a misunderstanding) and they don't know when they will get stock in.

The only reason that I ordered through them was to get the insurance (have never had it on a smartphone but Sprint has had the yearly upgrade so it has not concerned me) which is so much better than Sprint's.

I think that I will now go wallow in my own self pity :) Then again I might as well put this day that I took off of work to good use and play some video games for the next 6 hours until my wife gets home from work :D

Hopefully only a week or less to go with my EVO3D.

Not sent from my Pre-Ordered Galaxy S3 as it is currently busy being taken to court by Apple, whose motto must now be "Don't innovate, just litigate"!

I was also told tomorrow too and they said that came from corporate. Sprint is sending them out today for bb pre orders.

So I just stopped in BB in LIC (NYC) and the guy said their shipment will be in tonight or early tomorrow morning and available for pick up on Friday. They only are getting enough in to cover the pre-orders.

I was going to preorder two S3s from my local Radio Shack but they only were given pebble blue phones for preorder. I ordered one of those for myself. When I got home I preordered a white one from Sprint by phone for my wife.

My wife's phone is on the UPS truck and will be delivered any minute. Called Radio Shack and they have a memo from Sprint saying that they will not have them until the 28th or later. This applies to both 16 and 32 BG versions.

At least I can fondle my wife's phone when she is not using it. :'(

Yeah, I'm getting mostly the same story. My local BB (Ft Lauderdale, FL) says they are POSSIBLY getting some tomorrow to fufill preorders. I preordered, but I wasn't first (its a LONG story that ended with me thinking I'd be happy with an EVO 4G LTE). I REALLY hope they get enough to cover me. Let's all cross our fingers!

Same story here in DFW. Preorders will be in tomorrow. They said sprint sent them out today overnight for the BB preorders. Thankfully I was the very first person to preorder at my store!
All my goodies for the phone should be in today so atleast I will have them waiting at home. Oh the agony continues :'(

Latest update from Aurora, CO. I stopped by a BB (not the store that I pre-ordered from, but within 10 miles so I am assuming that they have the same Sprint rep) and was told that they had just received an email from their Sprint rep stating that their pre-order units had been shipped today and would arrive tomorrow. They will be allowed to fulfill their pre-orders but still are unable to, and have no idea when they will be able to open up the phone for non-pre-order sales. I think that I will not take a deep breath and relax, and realize that not getting my phone today is not a national crisis, and just hope for the best tomorrow. Good luck to everyone else as well!

Hmm the Best Buy rep said their stock is a being drop shipped directly from Samsung USA. I guess Sprint had to approve when Samsung would ship to retailers.

Pay extra money for preorders and it doesnt even cone out the day you preordered it for... Bullsh*t

I was thinking about how Sprint promised that their preorder customers will get to experience the S3 before anyone else. This is very true they want us to buy directly from them.

I am officially PI$$ED!!

Latest update from BB in Aurora, CO and also the one that I believe the most as this came straight from the mouth of the Mobile Manager and we were face to face and he looked like he was just as frustrated as I was (could also have to do with the fact that they are getting sick of all my constant nagging about an update :p). Their pre-order phones are going to arrive tomorrow. They have been told from their Sprint rep that they shipped today and will be in-store in the morning. HOWEVER they cannot sell them prior to Sprint announcing an official "release date". Therefore my phone will be sitting in a locked cabinet in the back of the store until Sprint gets their thumb out of their A$$ and tells BB what this arbitrary date is. For what it is worth the manager was telling me that he has heard the rumor of the 29th of June floated out there... *Fumes*

If this is true and my phone sits locked in a cabinet for over a week I will be furious with Sprint. I can understand demand being too great for the available supply, and I can forgive the fact that there were just not enough phones to go around, but to tell me that my phone is simply locked up and not doing anyone any good?!?!?!?!? How does this help Sprint? How can they justify this to their customers? I have been with Sprint for over 10 years, and have never experienced anything like this. I will not be taking my business elsewhere as I use so much data that I am not willing to pay for the competitions plans. I am just so incredibly deflated right now and with no official statement from Sprint or BB I have no idea on what to expect. If it is going to be another weeks wait, Sprint should at least have the decency to tell the BB pre-order customers that they are F***ing them and not leave it up to the BB staff to have to deal with angry nerds like myself.

Sorry for the rambling post, but my wife and friends are sick of hearing me talk about it and I needed to vent somewhere

Maybe tomorrow will bring better news!

Emailed Dan Hesse and my local Sprint Business manager, and had the local Best Buy manager call their sprint rep who was on vacation. Now I'm trying to get in touch with Best Buy corporate. Heads will roll...

On a positive note, ask your BB manager for compensation. I've been told that I'm getting at least a $30 gift card out of this.

GOOD NEWS!

Just got off the phone with Jennifer from BB Consumer Relations. She stated that there is a brand new Internal Update that just came out stating that Retail Stores are now able to sell their pre ordered inventory as soon as they receive it! Horray!

Still getting that $30 gift card though. Ha ha.

Depends on when they get their inventory. If they get inventory tomorrow then great! If they don't get it till late next week or the week after, then that's not so great.

Has anyone confirmed this? I believe you, but I have gotten so many different stories from BB people today I am becoming skeptical about what they say... Thank you for giving us some hope at least! :D

Not sent from my Pre-Ordered Galaxy S3 as it is currently in an unknown location... Help me Obi Wan Kenobi, your my only hope!
