Just got a call from Best Buy mobile to set up a time to pick up the S3 tomorrow. 11am for me. They said tracking shows delivery tomorrow morning, and that they usually get shipments between 8 and 9 am before opening.

How can this be i called earlier and best buy mobile said she didn't have release date which i had already been told about 3x already, so i called best buy corporate and a rep said none of their stores had them and to expect an email tomorrow to inform me of the delay. Also what did you guys have to say to receive a $30 gift card, because if i do or can get one that can towards my outter box
Finally for LeBron... Anyway I got the call from the Aiea store in Hawaii. Read my earlier post about the latest internal document from BB corporate. You might try to hit up the store manager for the gift card based on all the misinformation and delay. Results may vary. Good luck everyone!
they tried this with me when the evo 4g lte came out. My phone was just sitting there and they were acting like they didn't know a official release date. I internal memo within BB had leak and specifically said that they could only sale the phones to the preorder people. I had to call BB corp office 2 times before this one store would release my phone. It was like they were out of the loop. You may have to do the same. They may be thinking about the general public release date. IF you preordered and they have the phone and sprint has rls their phones.. BB should be giving you yours.
I called BB in Bellevue right before they closed and they told me that the last thing they heard is that the shipment was coming in tomorrow morning, and that they would call people to go pickup the phones whenever they got them in. I, unfortunately, ordered it online so I have no idea when I'll get it...
In the meantime... I got my case in the mail today. It looks very nice! I can already see that this phone is big, compared to my Evo4G (original)

I work for BBY in Kansas City. I've been drooling over this phone so I can replace my 3VO. As far as I've seen, we may be seeing the phone come in tomorrow. They have been "on order" in our stock system for a couple days which means coming via UPS or Fed Ex. The truck at our store gets there around 11am or noon. I'd say check your stores tomorrow, because I will be for my own. Going to set up some tec tiles in my store as well for demonstration on NFC phones. We can sell the phones as soon as they are available per our employee news.
Which store do you work at? I reserved one for my wife at the Independence store.

Lees Summit. I'm in the computer department but am in multiple areas and in charge of all store activities. You might mention to Independence how they should stop being scared to play us in softball.
lol I'm waking up early tomorrow to head in early and hopefully pick up my phone before my closing shift.

I really need it to come in today. My 30 days to exchange the Evo LTE expires tomorrow and I have no idea what my options would be if the GS3 is not in by then.
here's hoping in a few hours we're all playing with our new phones and I can enjoy my vacation without having to worry about losing my preorder because of something that's not my fault! I know either way my trip is going to be awesome, it'll just be more awesome if i have my new phone.
follow up - just called 2 bst buy within my area- One in flushing is waiting on UPS delivery, the other MT vernon doesnt know when delivery are coming in.
yeah mine says it should be here by lunch time and if not they're gonna try to hold it for me until I get back, but no guarantees on that...so now I have to spend my entire vacation just hoping they hold my phone for me past the 72hr mark. GAH this is so stressful. Just keeping an eye on my email and praying it comes in by noon because then I can at least charge it a bit with my laptop while I'm driving and while i'm on the train to NYC. This just sucks. I preordered precisely so this WOULDN'T happen!
Just called my local BB in Westbury, NY and now they said they don't know when they're getting it. The person sounded clueless, so I guess I'll have to take a trip over there.
Man I need shipments of non-preorder phones to get here by the 30th. That's the last day I can exchange my EVO LTE.

THat really sucks, you should go to the store and talk to the manager, they do allow over the phone purchase. So lets say you get the email while you in NYC, you can purchase over the phone and sucure your unit, then when you get back you can just go pick up.
same here when i called, she sounded like she is just there to collect her check each week.
