Best cases for Google Pixel 2

So I've tried several cases for the pixel 2xl. I wanted something clear to show off the black and white but also slim and protective. I decided on this case because it's slim has anyone drop protection on the edges and additional grip grooves on the side. The grooves make it easy to hold and not tpu slippery.

I picked it up in clear and white on the edges.

I've used Incipio DualPro for a couple of months now, here are my thoughts:

It provides a good amount of grip without feeling like it's going to slip out of my hands.

Protection levels are really good and I feel confident that it could withstand being dropped on the floor.

Materials feel high quality.

Case can be used with a plastic screen protector.

The only negative has to do with the buttons. They do not provide good feedback and are stiff to use making the experience of clicking the buttons feel like trash. I love this case but if the buttons get any stiffer then I might need to reconsider this case, for now it is staying on.

is anyone here a long term user of the bellroy leather case on their P2xl? I just ordered one to try it out but am now concerned that the quality will not be on par. I guess I will wait for it to arrive and see for myself

I love the Google fabric cases, so I'll probably get one of those. Does anyone know if Google's accessories are available at retailers other than Google?

I'll probably ditch the case at some point, though. I never use cases for my phones. I'm still caseless with my 6s Plus and I haven't broken it or anything.

Target carries them

I just returned my LifeProof fre case due to the muffling effect it had on the microphone, the shop replaced it with the same case but looking at it, seems like there has been done subtle changes made - mic not muffled and the camera window thing has more protection from being scratched

just got my pixel 2 last week, and went with a Ringke Bevel...also ordered a dbrand skin to add some color to my all black phone 👍

Post some pics when you get it. I've been thinking about it myself.

I'm disappointed that my Spiegen Liquid Crystal (tpu) clear case is starting to turn brown after only two months of use. I do want a clear, thin case...anyone have the Ringke Fusion clear? I see that the back is polycarbonate (not tpu). So perhaps it's less likely to turn brown?

I can recommend two:

1. Diztronic TPU - LOVE this case. It was my second case and now daily case after the MagCase. If you NEED the lip to protect the screen so it does not touch the ground if your phone somehow falls, this is the case. Beautifully made, very minimal look, thin, and seems like it'd provide very good protection.

2. Pitaka MagCase - also loved this case although it did not have a lip and the screen is exposed. For $40 the quality, build, look, and feel, everything about this case is high quality. If I didn't need the lip this case would still be on.

I had a Speck and it was always pulling my pocket out and collecting tons of dust at the top of the phone. I then tried the Google Fabric and didn't care for it that much. I am now waiting on a Supcase Hybrid for it.

I went with the Google live case and custom added white and black colors to mach my Panda colors since I loved the Panda colors. I also ended up getting the more expensive dual layer case with the same theme and switch between the 2 depending what I'm doing that day. If I know I'm going to be somewhere where I migh require a bit more protection like pool side, beach hiking etc I'll use the dual layer case if not I stick to the thiner case.

So I've had my Pixel 2 for a couple weeks. I've mostly stuck to Spigen and diztronic cases the last 2-3 years. Went with a Spigen Lewis Crystal case to start. Had the intention of getting a dbrand skin to go under it but it was just to slippery and dirt kept getting under it so I had to return it. Last couple phones have had a Spigen rugged armor but I wanted something different and the diztronic just wasn't appealing to me this time.

Ended up with a Spigen Slim Armor. I had a tough armor for my S7 and I liked it but I didn't like that the buttons were flush with the side of the case so it made it very hard for me to tell where the buttons were without looking. I love the slim armor, it's not as bulky as the tough armor and the buttons stick out just enough to feel them. The phone feels very secure in it and the kickstand is a nice bonus.

That is beautiful! Great purchase!

Although I like my Caseology Parallax and Ringke Bevel cases, I just ordered a grey Incipio Carnaby case for more variety!
