Best cases for Google Pixel 2

Is that metal plate for a magnetic mount? If so, does that interfere with Android Pay?

Yep, for a magnetic mount in my car. I've always put them inside the case so you don't even see it. I don't use Android Pay but one of these days I'll try it & find out.

just ordered seidio case with holster. Looks just a tad different from the one i had which was the nexus 6p holster case combo. Need one of these for the days I need a belt lol. Will update to see if its a contender out there (they normally are) their having a deal too on their site.

How are you guys liking the official Google cases? I have the dark fabric case but I'm thinking of getting a Speck Presidio Grip because I like the cut out for the imprint better. It's chamfered.

Got both the spigen neo hybrid and the spigen rugged armor. After testing them, I am returning the rugged armor. The look of the top and bottom isn't my cup of tea. It also seem very thin and cheap feeling. It does fit snug, though. All in all, I do prefer the neo hybrid. It is a little bigger, but not too big. Feels like a good mix of slim but protecting. It had a nice stylish look with the gun metal and black combo.

I still have a caseology parallax case coming in the mail, but right now this is the winner.

This case looks Amazing! please tell us if you liked it. I really liked the color

Sorry for the late reply. I've had it for about two days now and personally I'm really like it. A few pros and cons

Pros:
-You can still do the squeeze feature to access Google assistant.

-The side buttons have a clickable nice sound to it. They aren't hard but feel more or so like..mesh?you can also still see the orange button through it.

- It's a perfect fit imo at least. The sides of the bumper stops right at the edge of the screen.

- Not bulky.

Cons:
It's a fingerprint magnet so you have to clean the back of it a lot if that bothers you.

Also..this isn't really a con but if there was ever a serious drop I'm not sure how much this would protect the device the back doesn't feel cheap and the pink part is more of a rubbery mesh feel so it does give some protection I just know there are some other cases that would protect your phone a bit more.

I ordered a case from Noreve, a French company with some really good looking leather shell type cases with lots of color options which is just what I have been looking for. One big plus for me is the buttons on the phone stay naked. I never did like pressing thru the case to push the buttons. Some posts above indicated they were looking for a similar type case so thought I'd post the company name. I got the Pantine which is aged leather, also the most expensive, Yikes, LOL. They are having a cyber Mon/ Blk Fri sale going on, not sure how much longer. I ordered 5 cases total from different companies and have returned or cancelled all but one I'm in process of returning. Hoping the Noreve case is the winner for me. Check it out at Noreve.com

Any relatively thin bumpers with a lip at the front?
I couldn't find anything good.

I ordered the Incipio Esquire case when it was half-price for Cyber Monday. Anybody have one and do you like it?

Incipio Esquire was much too bulky for my taste, so I sold it on eBay and bought a Google Fabric case. This is my favorite case I've ever had. Feels so good in the hand and the perfect balance between protection and thinness.

The Google fabric case didn't seem to offer much if any protection when I tried it out at the Verizon store. The sides didn't seem to come up high enough even to protect the screen if dropped.

I just ordered a two piece photo live case from Google. It's in China right now, but if it's anything like the Places Live case I saw at Verizon then it will be the right balance (for me) of protection and thinness.

Anyone with the Google Material Case experiencing a lot of lint being collected on the edges of the phone?

I put it in my pocket for one second, and pull it out... Poof lint in the edges. I think it's coming off the case, the material rubbing off. Never have I experienced this.
