Ok so I`ve realised that ,unlike my Samsung phones the 6P wont cast photos/videos directly to my Samsung TV so is Chromecast the only answer or is there anything else you`d recommend? I just need to cast to my tv,not bothered about remote controls and the like, just a casting device, thanks,David.

Chromecast is the cheapest and quite frankly best option. I really love my Chromecast, especially the new one. Resolved a lot of issues I had with first generation one.

Chromecasts are great and at $35 there is no reason not to buy one. My Panasonic doesn't show up on the cast list but Netflix and YouTube will link to the built in apps and Allcast can play videos directly to it.

Easy. Chromecast. It's absolutely amazing what it does for $35. There is nothing that even comes close.

Now ordered new Chromecast...Thanks for your quick replies as usual, much appreciated.

I've been happy with my Chromecast over the last 2 months. My WebOS TV (LG) is also a cast destination for some things but I found the Netflix quality lacking, the quality on the Chromecast is MUCH better.

Any way of bypassing the WIFI requirement on Chromecast? I saved my Chromecast v2 device but have no WIFI access. I used to have Screen Mirroring on a Sony Z3v which worked well on my Samsung Smart TV. Unfortunately, the 6p doesn't provide that feature.

I love my Chromecast (V2). I use it all the time :).

I use Chromecast daily. Works well. No complaints. And some Android Pay users had an opportunity to earn a free Chromecast during the Feb Tap10 promo. There are opportunities to make Chromecast cheaper/more attractive.

You could try downloading the local cast app. You need to a tick a box to search for smart tvs and then you'll be able to send some things over
