Taking delivery today of a Stealth Black One and giving my daughter my Silver One since she cracked the screen on the first One I bought.

What is the best/easiest way to transfer everything from One to One?

Option I know of are:

1. HTC Sync
2. HTC Backup
3. Helium

Any thoughts?(non-rooted)

There is an application called "Transfer content" under Settings. It will basically transform your new One into the Old one. lol

I saw that but will it transfer settings, passwords, game progress etc. or just content like apps/pics and music? I know Helium will do all the above.

What "everything" are you trying to transfer? Pictures, Music and such all move easily with the htc transfer tool works pretty well. Contacts and such should all be in your Google account I'm sure you are used to all that. Do you want to move apps and saved app data? I think Helium does that.

Are you rooted on either? If so, titanium backup or ROM manager. With titanium Backup all apps and settings and you can make the backup location dropbox or like me, just drag and drop to and from computer. Open titanium on new phone and restore all apps and data. Or with ROM manager, you can backup the entire ROM (including all apps and settings) and then restore on the new device. Everytime I get rid of a device I make these backups just in case I get the device again and I can easily put it back to the way I had it. I don't have a good opinion on non-rooted since I always root and use these 2 that require root.

Everything, everything :) I want as much as possible to go from Silver to Black without losing anything including texts/Zoe's/game progress.

I have not used it before so I do not know. However, if it's anything like the transfer applications on Nokias, BlackBerries and other devices then yes, it will basically make a carbon copy of your older device onto your new one. If it doesn't work, just use Helium, it won't hurt to give it a chance.

The app HTC Transfer Tool that comes with the phone will do Bookmarks, Calendars, Messages, Contacts, Music, Photos/Videos, and Settings.

It's actually pretty nice. It was a pretty seamless transition going from the Evo LTE to the One. If you have a lot of messages it takes a while so just be wary of that if you think you'll need to use the phone right away. Everything else transfers pretty quickly.
