Best Galaxy Note 4 Tempered Glass Screen Protector

If you vow to only use your phone in a padded room with thick carpets, no problem. Everyone can make a mistake, no matter how OCD. Accidents happen. Sometimes, they aren't even in your control. Kid comes flying down the street on a skateboard and hits your arm while you're talking on the phone. Phone goes flying across the pavement. No one is immune to accidents. It's not like these protectors are all that expensive in the grand scheme of thing.
I totally agree with you that accidents do happen, so yes, tempered glasses should help. It is just that for me, they're not worth it since they tend to fall off in time, have scratches, and the displaying experience is less desirable. For me, my case has an added thickness aroind the screen to prevent cracks. So 8 months now with no screen protection my phone still looks new! :)

As for cost, I have tried many screen protectors, perhaps worth $50 in total. That $50 for me could have been used for accessories, smarthwatch, or a future smartphone.

Up to you...

I don't know why you had to buy so many at such cost, but for me I bought one I didn't like and returned it (money refunded). The second was just fine. I've had the phone around 14 months now. The screen protector is in perfect shape, doesn't fall off. I've never had a SP fall off. (I hate to say it, but maybe if you're having protectors fall off, you're not applying them correctly.) I see no visibility issues. Combined with the Spigen case, it helps create a protection system--layers. A grand total of $6, free shipping: http://amazon.com/gp/product/B00MDE...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU4922106). Note: the Bear only covers the flat areas. I'm content with that and not obsessing about it. Your mileage may differ. But I may just wind up keeping this phone (and others) longer than I used to. The longer you have them the more likely it is that your luck runs out if there is no protection at all.

My screen just shattered so I had it replaced as this phone is still awesome. Is there a new screen protector that works well? I can't find the iloome flex sold anywhere anymore; that was the only one I had without halo!

Check out Vikuiti screen protectors if you haven't already.
They're not glass, but worth a mention because they are such great screen protectors - they even have ones that protect your information by stopping people nearby reading what is on your screen.

MySafeDisplay version - sounds like the one you'd want. It is tough.
Privacy version - stops people near you reading emails over your shoulder.

For those who are extra careful and with OCD, tempered glass is a waste of money. The experience of nothing on the screen is unparalleled. If you tend to drop your phone, yes...get protection. I have had mine without any screen protectors, no scratches at all.
I don't agree with this. Good glass protectors are almost indistinguishable from without. All glass scratches. All it takes is a little dirt or sand in your pocket. One light drop onto cement face down is guaranteed to scratch the screen. Rather not ruin my phone with annoying scratches so easily
