BEST HOW2 - Transfer to SD card & USB flash drive

Hello I'm looking to Reset my Samsung Galaxy S7 Active , before I do I wanna transfer over everything on my phone to both my SDcard & my USB flash drive.
Never done it before so I am looking for the best, easy, efficient way to go about this. What apps to use that actually work good. The Do's and Dont's. The must have's / do's.

Open SmartSwitch, and choose backup to external storage, wait, and you're good to go. Just make sure that all apps that backs up to cloud is backed up. Not all apps allow backups via SmartSwitch. You can also set Helium to backup app data to external storage.

Okay and I should see everything transfered in the smart switch folder after done ?

Not necessarily. These are backup files so you may not be able to open them. But if the backup says they're done then you're all set. I just did this last week with my mom's S3 since that did not support wireless SmartSwitch for some reason. I backed up via SmartSwitch to SD card and restored it on her new J7 Pro and it went over completely even her homescreen setup.
