most Live wallpaper do eat up battery than normal wallpapers.
but not by a lot. about 5-6% of your total battery

plan on getting a N4 whenever they become avail again. quick question...do you have to do anything special to get the live wallpapers like those in the videos?

live wallpaper are apps in play store. you just have to install it and the wallpaper is added to your phone.
to set wallpaper long press home screen, select live wallpaper and select the one you want.

Me and a buddy have been working on making several live wallpapers over the last few months. We're on our third now, named Island Nights, and it turned out really cool. It looks great, but "unfortunately" we focused on battery savings so it won't chew up your battery as requested. Works on Android 2.3.3+. Enjoy!

I just got installed this a couple days ago. I really like it. Very cool 3D effect using the phones gyroscope.
Easy to see my home screen icons and text unlike, imo, other 'space' wallpapers like Galaxy Pack or Galactic Core.
