Best Moto X Cases

I've had good luck with this case:

Amazon.com: Hyperion Motorola Moto X Phone Matte TPU Case and Screen Protector (Compatible with Sprint Motorola Moto X Phone / XFON XT1056, and AT&T Motorola X Phone / XFON XT1058, and Verizon Wireless Moto X Phone) **Hyperion Retail Packaging** [2 Y

It's slim and unobtrusive, but feels like it would provide decent protection in a fall. It comes with a screen protector, but I'm confident in the Gorilla Glass and I never carry anything in the same pocket as my phone. The case provides a good grip and still slides into my pocket easily and it gives a nice offset to protect the screen if you set the phone face down. The only hiccup so far is that it is a little tough to manipulate the power and volume buttons. You have to be deliberate with it, but with the Moto X's Active Notifications, I seldom use the power button.

Something that's more snap on. I love TPU cases but, they are bothersome for me for throw on my phone in a pinch and then slide into my pocket. I have been going naked on my phone lately but a few recent drops has prompted me to get another case that's slimmer.

What the best slim case? I want something thin that it just slides into my pockets but it's a case so its there for when I inevitably drop my Moto X.

Check Amazon or eBay for quicksand cases. They are shipped by a variety of vendors with some stamping their name on the back like Bear Motion or Anker. Probably one of the thinnest cases I've used but also provides the least amount of protection during a drop.

I have the Supcase with the blue on the sides and clear back and I LOVE it!!
Got the gray/clear supcase for my moto maker turquoise x. Seems really nice so far! The back is definitely frosted; makes it a little lighter in color. I would have preferred all clear, but it doesn't bother me too much. Head on the color is decent, but the more you angle the case, the more frosty gray it looks. Lip above screen is rather small, but still sufficient, and I haven't experienced any swiping issues at all. Buttons work fine. After using the candyshell (which I will be returning), having the dimple is amazing.

Personally I like the standard bumper they sell on amazon, that or the TPU case I picked up from my verizon store. However neither will really protect from drops

The Moto X is just meant to be naked. Motorola's clearly designed it that way.

Every manufacturer designs their devices that way. Combined with the fragility of most devices, it demonstrates a lack of understanding how devices are used, and the hazards they face, in the real world. I know that most people don't need the durability of an Otterbox Defender, Seidio Dilex, Ballistic SG Maxx or Trident Kraken, but SOME durability in a device would be appreciated, as well as design considerations for cases. Edge-to-edge displays don't get along well with cases that necessarily wrap around the front of a device, so something built into a device (like a slot on a device for a tab on a case) that would allow a case to stay on the device without having to interfere with accessing the edge of the touchscreen would also be appreciated.

My HTC Rezound was built like a tank. Some drops while naked only resulted in a nick in the $10 replaceable back plate. Even survived being run over by a Ford Explorer without any exterior damage whatsoever thanks to nothing but a screen protector and $5 TPU case. (However, there was pressure damage where adhesive bled through the digitizer causing cloudy streaks that could be seen on black or gray backgrounds.)

I see a lot of comments with people saying some of the cases discussed in this thread are good only for scratch and finger print protection. However, most of them will absorb the common 3 to 4 foot drops just fine. The minimal hard shell cases that leave corners exposed scare me but my TPU case feels sufficient for the most likely scenarios.

Yoo! I got my Bear Motion Quicksand case in Black two days ahead of schedule. My first snap car for my Moto X and it feels good in hand. I threw on another one of my 3 pack of screen protectors. Now my Moto X looks and feels good. I'll post pics before the nights over.

What about this?

P.S. It's in my wishlist now. Going to order one day >_>.
Also glad you love this thread made it so people who have a Moto X can see the best cases real owners have. I own a Poetic Flipbook, Griffin Reveal Case black, Black FlipCase from eBay and a generic hybrid case bought at the mall. All in all though you can't really go wrong with whatever you find. I have my eyes on an otterbox because I have been especially clumsy lately.

I love this case! Not too big, just enough grip. It could be a tad more grippy, but for the price I won't complain!

I've been using this: Supcase from Amazon, picked it up for $15 shipped. It's really slim, doesn't add much bulk. The tradeoff is that while it definitely helps protect from scuffs and scratches, since it's hard plastic, it doesn't look like it would cushion the phone from a long fall very well. So far, has been working out well. I got the yellow/gray version and it looks great.

Previous to my Moto X, I had a Droid Bionic and a GS4, and I didn't feel like those were meant to be used without a case as much as the Moto X (I actually liked how the GS4 felt with a case better than without one). I do think that manufacturers focusing on ways to make devices more durable will be something we start seeing a lot of in 2014.

I believe it's likely that there's sufficient space within the Sena case for Lumia 920 to accommodate the Moto X with a thin polyurethane cover like the Cimo. Of course, if you get the Sena case and it doesn't fit to your satisfaction, you can return it; but I think it's worth a try if you like the thin leather case.
Do you think the Moto X would fit in the Sena case with a bumper around it like this:
