Best Nexus 4 case?

Can you describe in detail how you cut the buttons?

i used mine for a few weeks, you can feel the button feedback now, still going to buy a new case, too bulky, and it irritates my hand when im using it due to the bad cutouts

what ive seen people do is, using a needle or a knife, poke a few holes in the ridges of the buttons, or just use the case for a week

I managed to cut a slit down the vertical sides of both the volume button and the power button using a box cutter. This has improved the feedback greatly!

By vertical sides, do you mean the short sides (ends) or the long sides?

Just got my Mercury cases from Amazon today - a red and a white one. Look sharp, fit nice, appear to do the job.

There was a sort of blackish/dirt-like mark in the corner of the white one though. Uggh. Is that going to happen momentarily anyway or should I return it? I never return stuff as I hate being that guy plus $10 is barely worth the hassle but the principle of the thing kinda irks me.

Friend of mine has this case too...I can +1 it as he loves it.

I do not know the best case for the Nexus 4, but I know the best $15 case for the Nexus 4. The acase superleggera pro case on Amazon for $15! I did not expect much and was pretty amazed when I received it. It works and feels great and protects the phone well. If you are looking to protect the glass back and not end up on Phil's cracked back glass thread, this case is worth a look!

Needing a good, sturdy case for this phone. I keep searching Amazon and can't make up my mind!

My initial case was the Nexus 4 bumper and I really liked the way it maintained a sleek, professional look. But the lack of protection was what caused me to get the Cruzerlite Androidified A2 TPU case instead. It retails for about $12.90 on Amazon and I find myself using this case the most. It has a cool little avatar of Andy the android on the back and it has textured grips on the side and the cutouts are perfect for the power button, and volume rocker. In my opinion, it's a great case for the price!

I bought the Diztronics TPU case in Matte Black and it fits perfectly and appears to offer good protection. Amazon.com: Diztronic Matte Back Translucent Smoke Flexible TPU Case for LG Nexus 4 - Retail Packaging: Cell Phones & Accessories

What I like about it most is that it isn't too big, so with the case on , my Nexus fits into the Leather Holster which I bought that attaches to my belt. There is no way the holster can fall or unclip as the belt goes though two loops in the holster. I like the Poetic bumpers, I have a green one. I also like the Ringke Fusion cases because they cover and protect the back and are almost just as slim as the others.

Honestly I've tried a few different cases for the Nexus 4, but the normal hard shell cases are usually the best. There are some patterns and styles that are getting popular out there, but a solid clear hard shell case keeps the phone protected, it keeps the natural look of the phone, and it's made out of the same material as the more expensive cases. I bought a KaysCase off of Amazon and I don't have port problems.

I got the black flex case from T-Mobile. It's a plain case but it fits snuggly, it doesn't scratch, and it doesn't show smudges or sweat marks. The buttons are covered too.

I totally agree. Just got this case and I was stunned how good it is for under $15. Nice fit and finish, great protection.

I decided to get a different case with more Protection than I thought that my first case, the Diztronics case offered, so I ordered a Acase Superleggera Pro case at Amazon. I was worried that the increased protection with the case, due to it's dual layer, would make my phone too big to fit into the Leather Holster I use Amazon.com: Black Horizontal Executive Textured Leatherette Holster Case with Fixed Belt Clip for LG Google Nexus 4 Android Smartphone (E960) + SumacLife TM Wisdom Courage Wristband: Cell Phones & Accessories, but after reading the measurements on one of the forums, I decided it should work. I got the case yesterday, and it fits in the holster perfectly. The case looks great, I got the blue color and it is sharp. The protection that this case gives is leaps and bounds better than the Diztronics, the phone fits into the case perfectly, and the buttons are easy to push. Looks sharp, is protective, and the price is reasonable considering the added protection it gives the phone. Would like an option with a clear back. Also I pocket the phone, so I guess I need a tradeoff of top protection for slim.

Another vote for the Acase Superleggera. Only wish they had some different or additional color selection. I had to go with black given the offerings.
