Best overall ROM

Well, we all have different lifestyles. I'm seldom in my office for more than 30 minutes at a time so it's hard for me to charge the phone during the day.

Ok, not to pry, but if you don't mind what are you doing outside of the office? I would assume even a door to door salesperson would be able to use their car charger at times. I travel fairly often for business. That leaves me with my car charger on the road and USB/Wall chargers on trains/airplanes. I guess my point is I can't see needing 18 hours of battery life unless it's just some sort of personal goal/hobby of yours. Like you said, we all have different lifestyles and to each their own. I'm just saying I don't get the fuss over extreme battery life :)

I may give Xenon a run this weekend. Has anyone tried JBSourcery yet? What the hay, I might try that one too.

So I am running JBSourcery, and if you are into customizations... good golly ms. molly does this thing have customizations! Everything you can imagine is built into the ROM options. Can't comment on battery or stability yet. But this is right up my ocd alley with all these customizations. These are just a few of the options. The list of options for Nav bar, bootanis, themes, etc. is endless.

^^ Looks solid! Definitely upped ante since I've tried JBSourcery. Are those nav buttons a theme or in the rom? I dig it!

I'd be interested in finding out how many options in other roms are derived from other things...like the nav bar stuff from AOKP, power widget from CM, etc. etc. Kind of cool how much this stuff gets around...

That being said, I just flashed the latest AOKP and so far so good. I presume an official build/release is around the corner (and so says Roman Birg, the lead dev).

All the options are built into the ROM itself. You can change features separately (there are like 20 or more nav bar soft key options) or apply a theme to change all of it in one fell swoop.

Stuff definitely gets around. I have not read about anyone dissing this ROM/Dev for not giving due credit, so I'm feeling good about riding his/their stuff.

I will definitely give an official AOKP release a run when it drops. Thanks for the heads up!

Everyone gives credit these days, thankfully. Well, everyone who's anyone, I spose lol

Word.

Speaking of giving credit, gotta give you some for the JB Now Thread, it keeps all the good stuff in one spot. I love threads like that! But perhaps it's time for another update? Quite a few JB ROMS out there now, a couple might be worthy of getting listed that are not listed yet?

I've been considering one, but I'd rather not take the thunder out of the individual posts. I may do one eventually, but considering the time that goes into it it wouldn't be done until this weekend (Sunday) at the very earliest, unfortunately.

And thanks :).

Good point. Thanks again. I've said it before, I'll say it one more time. Everyone on this gnex forum, and the "regulars" in particular, are incredibly helpful, responsive, and just plain awesome! Has made my love affair with this phone that much better.

If for nothing else, we want to provide the community with the best support out there. Always looking to improve, always looking to help. If you have any suggestions, feel free to PM me :).

And thanks/you're welcome!

You all have it covered and then some!

A little clarification. I'm not out of the office, I'm out of my office. I spend a lot of times in meetings and it's just not proper etiquette to carry a power cord to every meeting and ask to use the wall plug. I'm not an iPhone user, for goodness sake!

Still loving Codename. It's been so good I haven't flashed anything else in weeks. LOL

I just flashed JBSourcery 2.3. Using Franco Kernel and 4.1.1 Radios. I have been on the 2.2.4 version with Steamworks theme for several days and it has proved to be very stable. This rom is AWESOME! I have never before seen the degree of customization this offers. Once they get the SteamWorks theme going for it you will not believe your eyes. The devs at Team Sourcery are very responsive and provide excellent support. Believe me, this is definitely not a plain vanilla rom. The easy tools, mods and controls they provide are way above anything else I have seen. You can set up your phone to anything from supercharged performance to miserly battery usage using this combination. You owe it to yourself to give this one a look-see.

Same with me- I love steamworks! I love the Magic Hat that Push Notifies updates and information.
