Best phone I have ever owned

Exactly. I live in VA and no LTE until 2012. If there were a 4G that was worth keeping until it got here....but I have no interest in the TB and its poor battery life or Samsung's awful Touchwhiz. That being said, this phone is the best phone I have owned.

I've got a DX, just swapped an iPhone for a Thunderbolt, and I'm pretty sure I'm selling both my X and the Tbolt for an Inc2. I really like the 4in screen and I'm not gonna have LTE until the end of the year at best (my area of IL is on VZW's list for 2011, but who knows). I'll just rock the Inc2 until a dual core LTE phone comes out that I like and once my area actually has LTE.

For those wondering if they should use their upgrade - I'd say it depends what you currently have.

I had an original Motorola Droid. I upgraded to the Thunderbolt. Way too big and bulky for me. Uncomfortable to use for very long IMO. Traded it in for the Incredible 2. . . LOVE it.
It does feel great to hold. Great to use.

The only thing I'd change on the Incredible 2 right now would be the speaker. I want it to be louder when playing my music and have the phone on a table. Other than that - LOVE it.

Excuse me............I can get the new one if I want it. I choose not to have the new one.
Have you ever played with the original Incredible ? It was rated very high and it is an outstanding device.

Well I came form an iPhone 4 and believe that I am completely happy. I adore HTC sense. I wish the battery was better, but accept that things can never be perfect. This phone does rock.

Yes, I own one lol

I have the OG Inc now and was debating between the Inc 2, Charge or TB. The Charge being Samsung was not worth it.

My little home town just got 3G 6 months ago so I know 4g won't be around anytime soon. I decided on the Inc2 since it has great battery life and the 4" screen just seems like a better fit in your hand vs 4.3".

Plus this phone is just to get me by until Bonic or something better comes along. I have another upgrade on my account in November and I'm sure I will have plenty of options then.

For now the Inc 2 will work

New processor, new GPU, more ram, new camera sensor, 4" SLCD screen, way better battery life

Your phone is the Verizon evo. How does that feel?

You sound very defensive of your purchase. Screen size and 4G aside, you are holding a lesser HTC Thunderbolt with global capabilities. That said, buy what makes you happy.

;)

Lets break it down.

Same ram.
Same cpu.
Smaller screen, SLCD vs. newer TFT on Thunderbolt.
GSM and eHRPD network capable vs. 4G and eHPRD capable.
Same size battery.
Sense 2.1 vs. 2.0 on Thunderbolt. This will be a moot point once Thunderbolt gets Gingerbread.
Same camera, front and back.
Both support DLNA.
66% less storage space than the TB.

Its just amusing to see comments like, the Verizon Evo...lol, when clearly its better than the Evo in every way.

I know everything about the two phones. The "verizon evo" comment was just a shot back at him because when the Thunderbolt was first announced, everyone called it the Verizon Evo (when it is not even close to being an evo). It was a joke, really.

I'll take the phone with the better screen (since I look at the screen when I use the phone) and the one that can go more than 3 hours without needing to be charged, thanks.

Since 4g is useless in my area, then the Incredible 2 is clearly the better choice. Also, not that it's a big deal, but the incredible 2 has the bigger battery.

To each their own. I get 12-16 hours on my TB before charging. On eHRPD, of course.

Folks using my kernels for the most part have little trouble making it through a work day with 4G enabled, too.

That's great. Not trying to argue with you or anything, but when that user said "you basically have a inc with a front camera," it kinda bothered me a little. Kinda like the "verizon evo" comment bothered you. See what I mean? I was just telling it how it is.

^^don't know I like the dinc2 more due to the size of the devices. But other than that their both great. Now I need some root action that may be the only reason I give this phone up. I hate to have all the VZW bloatware apps in my phone

I see multiple people mention that the DInc2 is better because the 4inch screen is more manageable, but in reality the phone is only about 2 mm smaller (in every way) than the thunderbolt. I dunno I think I would rather have the extra 2 mm and extra .3 inches. I have held each, and dont see too much of a difference in total size.

It's all perception. On paper it looks big but when I held the TB, it was just fine.

Either way HTC is glad we're arguing about any if their phones :)

In hand it feels much smaller than the bolt its about as comfortable to use as my wife's iPhone 4 which feels just about perfect. And I would rather wait until their is a better 4G solution one that's integratedinto the chips not an add on. But this is in no way putting the bolt down I know its a great device
