With LogMeIn you have to install something on every remote server you want to connect to, which won't fly at all for the servers I want to be able to monitor. PocketCloud seems more of a true RDP client to me.

Another satisfied Logmein user here - I DL'd it as soon as it was updated for the XOOM!. I have no problem installing the free clients.

Screen scaling issues

I've tried several of the remote desktop apps on the Xoom, and have a similar problem on all of them. The desktop has a screen resolution of 1920x1280. When I open Adobe Illustrator (CS5), I only see the upper left quarter of the image. Can't pan/zoom to expose what's missing. All the menus, etc., are there -- it's just the AI image itself that seems to not be resizing for the Xoom's resolution.

Any suggestions? Being able to see Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign files back at the office is a pretty big deal.

Thx...

I just purchased remote desktop client by xtralogic. I have to say its pretty sweet. The reason I went with this over the other software out there is that it is a real rdp client. You do not need to install a client on the remote PC's, just forward the ports. The mouse is almost like a real physical mouse that you can move around the screen, pinch to zoom, etc. Very happy with it so far.

I have Xtralogic, LogMeIn Ignition and PocketCloud Pro. For my use, LogMeIn is useless. Xtralogic is good, but Pocket Cloud is wonderful. The Touch Pointer makes moving around an electronic health record much easier.

After reading these posts I thought I'd add my 2pence in. I'm a network manager so I wanted to be able to RDP to both servers from within at work and my work computer from home. I was reading the posts but still couldn't decide so I bought all three. I need to roll it out to other IT admin users so I thought I'd better give it some thought. I've only had these for a few days so I haven't explored all avenues and limitations but I thought I'd share my initial thoughts.
xtralogic is very good at RDP for my severs when I?m at work, quick over wifi easy to scroll etc but doesn't work from home as my RD gateway isn't configured for it yet. Once that works I think it'll be a winner.
Wyse pocket cloud doesn't work as we have a corporate proxy and wyse doesn't support proxies yet so that's out for me but it might be a good one to use at home. Plus I had to set up a gmail address as my hotmail address wouldn't work.
Logmein is good to remote in from home although I did have a few set up issues. Had to disable the display accelerator otherwise it'd disconnect after a minute. It's pretty good at streaming the sound and video, not that it benefits me particularly.
I'll carry on testing and update any major flaws/findings

Mind helping me how to get started on the steps to achieve the remote access. I'm new to remote access
