So, I've thought about rooting my TB for a while. I'm still not 100% sure I want to go that route and install a ROM. Before I consider taking the plunge, is it easy to root the TB? Also, are there any good ROMs out there with the Vanilla Gingerbread (or something close to it)? What do you recommend?

If you decide to root, there are a bunch of vanilla aosp gingerbread roms available currently. there's vanillabean, which is straight aosp gb, i think, but also there are several very popular aosp roms such as liquid thunderbread, cm7, omfgb, and latest is pur3th3ory gb from droidth30ry. anyway, there's a bunch of android roms available without the sense ui or what have you.

rooting tbolt is easy as long as you do your homework first. of course, you may end up in a situation that needs troubleshooting, which is half the reason these forums exist (to get ya some help when ya need it).

in summation, rooting is easy enough, and flashing roms is easy enough, as long as you read first, and there are numerous aosp/vanilla roms to keep ya occupied for some time. then you can try some sense roms when you're bored.
