Best shared calendar app?

I've been trialling Cozi as an app for sharing a calendar between me and my OH but it's not doing quite what I'd like.

Is there an app that anyone can recommend that properly syncs with Google Calendar (2 way sync would be good), works with Outlook, identifies who the appointment belongs to (colour coding is fine) and enables us to both sign into it independently?

Just wondering--how about just using Google Calendar and either sharing the whole calendar with another person, or inviting a person to an individual event?

My OH would get a read only view of it though wouldn't he? I need him to be able to add his appointments in as well as see mine.

What about Sunrise calendar? If I'm not mistaken, you both can sign in with your own account and share.

In Google calendar you can make multiple calendars and share them. You both do this and share with one another and you can both see one another's events. I do this and then have a separate one for work meetings, which my other half isn't interested in seeing anyway

No, I'm able to create and modify appointments in shared calendars on Google Calendar.
