Best slim high quality case

Seeing how I just got my G2 on Thursday I was also in search of a nice case. I wanted something that actually covered the rear buttons and camera surrounds and realized this only comes in a few of the more protective models. I figured less possible wear and tear this way. I ended up ordering a Ballistic SG1227 shell-gel A065 from Amazon along with this little cheap TPU thing its wearing now (just so it won?t be completely naked over the weekend).

Just got my cases in the mail today... Poetic and the Ringke... and both FAILS :(

I've been using a Ringke for my Nexus 4 and had been very satisfied with fit and feel... their customer service was great too because even though i didnt have any problems with my first case, they posted on amazon that their first batch was flawed and they made whatever adjustments and came out with a revised case which they shipped out to me no charge and had been perfect. So I was hoping for similar type experience.

I get both and both basically have the same problem where one side does not fit snugly and with little pressure... just holding the phone normally at the sides... it will pop out a bit out of case. it wont fall out of the case but looking at the pics below, you'll see its not something you like to see and fear that it will pop all the way out at the worst possible time. Also you'll see a pic where the Poetic has the mic hole next to the flash but the Ringke seems to have not designed for it.

Guess I'm going to email each support and see what they say or get a refund. I know it's now easy with the screen basically going edge to edge but i was hoping for better. not sure what i'm going to do now because i prefer a slim case or possibly nothing at all.

Pic 1 - Ringke with far side fit flush and nearest side shown popping out and cannot get as flush as first side.
Pic 2 - Poetic and same issue.
Pic 3 - Pic Poetic case and the hole for mic... background is back of Ringke sans mike hole.

Pic #2: Defective product. Return for replacement. Mine does not look like that. Fits perfect.

Update...

I originally posted I received both cases and that I wasnt happy because the phone wanted to pop out.
Emailed both parties and both responded and helpful with one offering refund immediately.

Had a friend with G2 try the cases and fit his phone nicely!

Ended up that when I was test fitting, I did so with the plastic protector still on the back of the phone...
That thinnest of plastic film on the back of the phone made the difference between fitting and not!!

Sticking with the Poetic right now... fits well, feels nice (even though it feels a little slippery)
May try the Ringke again later but still not sure about it because it doesnt have the hole in back for the mic like the Poetic does.

Once again, their support team was quick to respond.

Edited and removed pics. Will post update.

I've been checking out this bad boy. It's quite cheap (and price isn't an issue) but it just looks good aesthetically to me and would compliment my white G2 when I order it. I like the rugged look, and the gel looks thick enough to protect in a drop, but I'm not too worried about that because I usually do pretty well about not punishing my phones. I've read people complaining about creaking from the battery cover so I figured I'd solve said issue with a case lol. Don't much care for the kickstand clamp, but meh. There are a few much slimmer cases I've been looking at too. Running around $10-$20.

I've been using this Diztronic case for about six weeks more. Love the more tacky feel than some of the others I've come across.

Does this cover the noise cancelling microphone on the back? I don't see a pinhole for it?

I like the way Diztronic looks, followed by DualPro
Can't say I am a fan of Feather or Palette, they look nice, but I am worried about the bottom and top edges in case of a fall. I like the all around protection and of course a small lip so I can place my phone on its face if needed.
Slim Armor also looks great, but it looks like it adds some bulk to the bezel on both sides, which defeats the slim bezel of

I hope to get my G2 tomorrow shipped by AT&T so at least at the same time I can pick up a case, and I prefer to buy from newegg instead of amazon due to much faster shipping.
Do you guys have more suggestions on slim cases that cover all around? I also prefer tacky feel, not slippery.

Incipio Dual Pro? When I thought both cases were flawed I found this and ordered it... more expensive but full coverage.
But I've had the RingKe on my N4 for a year and I'm careful where any drops were very minor and it protected the whole phone and figure i'll keep the Poetic on this one for a while.
Now I did put a tiny scratch at the top of phone at the faux chrome bezel but thats from in and out of a running belt pack rub again the zipper... my fault.

So, I can't comment if it is the best slim case or not, but I did not want to get the Feather Case because THIS:

I hope he doesn't mind me reposting it here, in case you are not a member there and in case images are blocked.

Do you guys still use Diztronic? Any regrets?
I like non-slippery back (it looks non slippery)

I got the Tudia Melody. I have the blue. I was hoping that it would not be too bright blue, and it is a little brighter than I had hoped, but not as bright as the picture. Actually, it is pretty close to the color of the "Post quick reply" button on here (at least on my screen). It has a much better grip feel to it, as that was the only thing I didn't like about my G2. The cutouts are absolutely perfect and keep in mind that the linked item is the Verizon specific version.

Also, NFC and wireless charging both work perfectly with the case on. All in all, I really like it. Well worth $10. Adds a little bit of protection and makes it much less slippery, without adding much bulk. I took it off for a little bit the other day and really did not notice the removed bulk. I DID notice that slippery feeling again though. :)

I just received my Diztronic case, it looks great, feels great, has a few rough edges here and there, but it might be perfect for those looking for slim case.
I am waiting for a pouch to arrive, based on the fit I plan to return Diztronic and get D3O case from T-Mobile. I feel Diztronic may not provide enough protection on a long fall, but slim cases will rarely do that..

Just got my cruizelite case love it. Slimmer then the stock view tpu I bought in release day so getting used to the slimmer form is awkward. uploadfromtaptalk1385433674986.jpg

I'm using the Incipio DualPro. I decided on it over the Spigen and others and I've been very happy with it.
