Best texting app and keyboard for G4

I've been using the Blackberry keyboard for a few days now. I think it's a little busy. But I am really enjoying the flick gestures. My ability to type a more accurate email has kept me on this keyboard.

Taking only my G4 and my Re-camera into the Parks.

Having problems with the blackberry keyboard now. Every time I power off the phone, the icon disappears, and I get message to select a keyboard. I have to uninstall and reinstall to get the program icon back, to get into settings. I know it's not designed for a G4. Anyone else having this problem?

Textra & SwiftKey was my combo on my G3, except I installed an unsigned apk of the last Textra version before the ad-ware "feature" was added.

I bought the app. They do great work.

I hadn't heard about Yaata until I read this thread. Thanks salscott. I got it a few days ago and I'm absolutely loving it! Combined with Swiftkey.

I've been using the LG keyboard. Just curious why people don't use it? I find it more accurate than SwiftKey.

I find nothing wrong with the lg keyboard...I used their being keyboard and it worked great. But being a blackberry user for many years, I just use what I'm fast with and it's very accurate.

For me, I'm just used to Swype and its customization, and don't really have a desire to move to anything else.

Chomp sms and SwiftKey. I can't give up the option to delay sending texts by a few seconds. That feature alone was worth the premium price for chomp.

Handcent has that option in the free version and you can set the length of delay.

Google KB and Google messenger. Hands down. You can set ringtones to whoever, change the color of the messaging to whatever and the KB is not responsive.

Giving Chomp SMS a try for the first time on this LG. Really digging it so far. More customization than Textra. And I can't live without the TouchPal keyboard! I too loved my old BlackBerry and it's SureType layout. This keyboard is one of The only ones out there with this option, but they call it "T+" . With it I can type crazy fast and the text prediction really spot on. Lots of nice features as well.
