Galaxy S5 with Verizon. Used Textra for a while as my texting app until I started having problems with it. Am trying Verizon Messenger+, but can't figure out how to send text to multiple recipients. In fact, a verizon chat person told me you can't!
Any suggestions for a good texting app?

I use Handcent. It also has add ons that get around the Android group texting hourly limit if that starts becoming a problem.

It's been quite a long time since I sent group messages, so it may not be an issue anymore. But Handcent had a lot of these mini-apps.

I needed about 10 of those in use back when I group messaged a lot.
Interesting. Probably not an issue any more.
The big issue most people have now are the artificial limits on the size of the groups being sent to. ATT artificially caps it at 10; Verizon at 25 or so.

Yeah I have been using verizon Message+ and it was fine until the latest update in late January, early Feb. I use a moto360 watch to receive text notifications. Message+ kept pestering me with "calling setup" notifications, like 5-6 every day. Then just 3-4 days ago it flat out stopped sending me text notifications all together. I didn't try sending group messages during this time frame, but certainly as recently as mid-late January I was sending and replying to them.

I have since deactivated and shut down Verizon Message+, and now use Google messenger. No complaints, works great. It will send group texts, you just select multiple users from your contacts, or add a phone number for someone not on your contacts and send away.
