BestBuy: Galaxy Note 9 Pre-Order Thread

I saw that as I had to pre-order yesterday. Makes me mad because I kept getting an error trying to add a line on bestbuys site when pre-orders went live. Verizon claimed it was because the phone was on backordered and hadn't released. Knew that was a lie but got off the phone with them. Tried again last night and no issue but now have a delivery date of 8/31 which I'll be out of time. Really hoping that's just a place holder as Verizon still shows release day.

Carriers will obviously have bigger supply of phones then best buy. I got the 512 direct thru Verizon, but I'm nervous that it will be on back order. With the higher price, Samsung probably produced more 128 versions anticipating a higher demand on them. I ordered at 2:30 on morning of preorder anticipating a back order on the 512's.

I almost said who cares when I get it and went with the best offering from Sam's club. They have the regular Samsung promotion everyone else has, plus you get a $200 gift card.

I think your correct, but still a great deal if you're getting the 128 and don't care if you get it on launch date. Only problem I see is if they get it to you too late and you lose the Samsung promo.

On paper this almost makes sense. However, in the real world all of your assumptions are meaningless. Best buy will have enough phones, it is a major distribution channel. They will have more than just what they need for preorders. In addition the 512s will be in good supply as well.

They are not making these phones on demand. There is likely already a 3+ month supply produced with more in production. I guarantee that the physical device we are all going to get is already produced, in a box and sitting in a warehouse.... with lots of others.

Maybe, but I can tell you from a friend that works at BB, which is a manager at our local store. They already have them and more by the day are coming in. The warehouse that is. Stores are supposed to get them next week.

I ordered my around 11:30am on the 10th. Card was not charged. I will be trading in my Note 8, so I will do that first then claim my Note 9.

Has anyone been to Best Buy today to see if there was any demos? I may check later today on my home. Going to my local mall and there is a AT&T store and I'll check there. It won't hurt to check while I'm in the mall.

I was in Best Buy on the 10th around 11:30am and the Samsung rep was just setting up the demos. He showed me his personal Note 9.

why cant I pre order the 512gb on best buys site? it says to notify me when in, I choose that and get an email that I can now pre order but I cant. it only allows me to pre order the 128gb version.

Is your carrier by chance sprint? If so they ain't for whatever reason doing the 512gb. Only 128gb. Silly I know.

Hmmm that's wierd. I ordered straight thru Verizon but I decided to act like I was going to do it thru the bestbuy app and I was able to select the 512gb but I saw the notify me as well. Didn't click on since I don't want an email from them to preorder. Maybe contact best buy and see what they say.

It's been saying that since yesterday morning. Before that availability was for 8/31. Guess they've been getting a lot of pre-orders for the 512 since they're reducing it by 100 dollars.
