beweather - anyone install this?

I'm a recent BB defector. I absolutely loved BeWeather on BB. It was one reason I gave pause to make the switch. Installed BeWeather on my HTC Evo 3D the day I got the email that it was publicly available. I love it. Very well designed for an Android app, imho. Very glad it came out, and I bought it.

I left Blackberry years ago and missed this application. Well worth the $3.

Sent from my HTC Thunderbolt using Tapatalk.

Specifically, what is it about this app that makes it better than weatherbug or necn or stock htc app?

Can this app provide live animation like beautiful weather/beautiful widgets? If so, how?

It is a great application. I had it on my BB and missed it greatly on Android. But I have fancy widget and absolutely love it as well.:)

Does anyone else have problems with the main animation when opening the application? I only see colored lines based on the time of day, but that's it. On my Xoom, however, I see the full animation sequence. If you see the animations on the Thunderbolt, let me know which firmware you're running. I'm running the leaked (unrooted) 2.10 Gingerbread.

I'm thinking about buying this app since I loved it so on my bb. I just want to know can I use the icons on the android version that I used on my bb?

Animations are working on 2.11 RUU after the last Beweather update. However, I had to uninstall and reinstall Beweather to get them to work.

Depends on which your were using. Thay have dozens ready to download from inside the App. If you know the Icon set(s) name you are looking for I can check.

Has decent radar and cool animations. It even has the HTC flip clock but the fonts look weird.

Did they remove the HTC flip clock? Because I cannot seem to find that part...

Edit: I found it... it's there in the options, it just blended in for me!

Seems im having a slight issue, or maybe something thats not been implimented yet. But when im at home, it lists my weather fine (tho sometimes off ie. Sunny as heck outside, yet it shows overcast etc). Soon as I get to work, 30 min away in a different city, its STILL on my home. Doesnt this change automatically using GPS for the current town you are in, OR do you need to input every location manually THEN update (which seems like a big headache)

The included HTC Sense Clock/Weather Widget can't be set to check more often than every hour. Although, if you manually refresh it, it should be right.

Keep in mind that these readings are coming from weather stations that sometimes do not update as frequently as you'd like either.

Well I have it set to refresh automatically every 30 min, so that isnt working. Also, when I do manually refresh it from the tab at the bottom right, that also doesnt help. It still stays on the one city until I add my current location to the list of cities, but then im swiping between towns to get the current one im in. I wonder what would happen if I just didnt specify any town.
