Everyone should register your fingerprints when normal moisture and one when the same finger is dry. In theory both registered should results in better readings?

I recieved the update on Verizon Monday, but I still don't feel like the FPS is all that great. Whereas with the S6-S9 all you had to do was sit your finger on the sensor with no pressure, on the S10 you have to press it pretty hard and even then its maybe about 80% on the first press Perhaps with it being in the screen, its attributable to the hardware. But either way to me it's not a fluid experience and not as efficient.

You shouldn't have to press hard. Pressing hard during the print registration process will distort the print and make it harder to read accurately. If you get warnings to press a little harder it should by using slightly more pressure but not so much that you mash your print.

I got a lot of fails today. I have the FPS update also. I re-registered my prints as well. Not sure what that update did? I’m back to square one.

Well, I've had the update for a few days now and it's hard to tell if there's any improvement. It's definitely not worse. But I still get around the same number of failed matches. I did try re-registering my fingerprints, FWIW.

dont know if the FPS has just got better over time but rarely does it ever fail me anymore...rather flawless. only thing samsung could improve would be speed on next gen.

Friends who paid $70.00 for that Dome Glass are PO'ed because it's only working about 50% of the time with the sensitivity turned all the way up.

There is literally no percievable difference for me between the Stock protector and Whitestone as far as FPS performance. After a lot of experimenting I've come to the conclusion that majority of issues is due to ultrasonic being much more sensitive to dry fingers than optical or capacitive FPS. On the flip side it works better with damp fingers than capacitive FPS. Of course it's also important to make sure the Whitestone Dome is properly applied but that just means following directions to the letter and or video.

I took a cracked one off with no trouble but it was a single crack. Came off in one piece.
