Jaymelanie, just check out, craigslist and get yourself a droid x. I got mine for $200. I got lucky as it was cherry too. The only thing I suggest is if you do go this route, sbf the phone to ginger bread in case the person you got it from was running a rom or anything. I didn't realize till two days ago I wasn't getting my gb update due to a leak on my phone.

Always wondered how people bought CDMA phones off C-List. Did you check with Verizon to see if the ESN was clean before you met up with the person? Also, what if the phone actually ends up being a lost phone that wasn't reported yet? Are you screwed? Also, does the manufacturer's warranty transfer over?
Any of them, Pick your favorite. I'd pick the OG Droid, for 125 bucks and it's new... Why not? It's only going to a filler phone until the Bionic comes out. and they have ROMs for it too.K need to know...
Droid for $125 supposedly new in box still has the original front plastic covering the screen
Fascinate for $125 supposedly new in box
Droid X for $200 supposedly new
Droid X2 for $220 2 weeks old
Which should I get to make sure I am locked in to unlimited?
Either the Droid 1 or the X2. The Droid 1 is a fair price and it is still a useable phone. That price for the X2 seems too good to be true - it must be $600 retail right now. I'd probably go for the X2 if it is legit. We are still probably a couple of months away from Bionic.K need to know...

OG Droid is the winner with the Fascinate in 2nd place. X2, X while good phones can't compete with the Droid and Fascinate as far as customization. Fully unlocked phone beats the X and X2 hands down.
Droid wins. The mods and support are second to none. Still have mine and use it.
I still have and use my OG Droid also - great phone. If the main criteria is "as cheap as possible" then the Og Droid is still great. But for the sake of usability, there is no contest. If I had to choose between using my OG Droid or the X2 for the next couple of months, I would choose the X2. Dual Cortex A9 1GHz processors v. single Cortex A8 @550MHz, 512 RAM v. 256, Much larger internal storage on the X2, better GPU, etc.
I still love my OG Droid but it is getting old and laggy, even OC'ed to 1.25GHz and I constantly have to delete apps of the internal storage to make room - there are still a lot of apps that won't allow you to put them on the SD card.
Plus if youre happy with the X2 maybe you could hold out for a 2nd gen lte dual core.

But I have $100 new every two credit that expires in Sept., So I will see what comes out before then it'll prolly be the Bionic for me, unless it never comes!
There is also a Droid Charge listed fir $285, but no phone number to reach anyone, however I did email them, we'll see if it's legit in a day or so. But I am not getting my hopes up.
If you have a Feature phone right now with Unlimited data, I am willing to bet that they will charge you the $30 extra for 3G data once you activate a smartphone. It might not change your plan completely because all you're doing is activating a new phone and not resigning your contract, but the Unlimited data you have now is probably EDGE, not 3G.
Someone with better knowledge of how carriers categorize these things might be able to explain it better, but I find it difficult they would honor a feature plan into a smartphone.
I think there are *many* of us that are a little nervous about this question. It appears that those of us with an unlimited (3G) plan now will be okay - but it would sure be nice to get some verification!Yeah don't forget to ask about the 3G to 4G upgrade too =]
