Confirmed, Albuquerque Market is where Verizon has their largest contact center in the US. All Customer Service, tech and email is there. They got to go hands on with the phone today, no pics allowed...no specs yet. July 28th release date.

Im going to call bs. When you send an email or they call it always is from either maryland or down south never New Mexico. I mean I hope it is true but I doubt it
And just long enough to avoid allowing people who get charges on 7/6 to trade them in for a bionic. Doubt this date is right but if it turns out to be true then crossing my fingers that the 7/7 date is wrong.
I mean that would be out of the 14 day period and see why they wouldnt release it the thursday before but I guess we can only wait and see. Then again if the droid 3 is coming out the 14th like some are saying I would think they would wait atleast 14 days after that or maybe even better release them on the same day. Let's hope.
So I can't decide on getting the droid bionic when it comes out, or waiting for the iphone 5 with 4G?

It's easy to prove the center exists, it's a monster...as for the claim...well you'll just have to take me at my word. I shouldn't even be on here, you're welcome.

If you are waiting until july why not just wait for the iphone 5 if you are going to the darkside? I mean waiting a few more weeks to get updated hardware if you cant wait until aug or maybe before for the bionic.
I never said it doesnt exist. Just when I send an email to verizon and get a call or email back it is from maryland/nc and sometimes georgia but never new mexico. Just saying guess we will find out in a few weeks. Its funny it's supposedly a call center yet when you look it up there is no number??

You don't call a call center directly, you call customer service and your call gets forwarded there, so its no surprise they don't have a direct line. Seems like an odd date to release it, but I do thank you for sharing what you have heard lebowski, leaks are what keep any forum like this alive. Dates change all the time, so there's no reason to say he is wrong, or the Moto leakers are, because the dates are still fluid until they are officially announced, and can change even then (Charge anyone?) .
As for the iPhone LTE, this new one coming soon will not have it. But from what's leaked related to the Apple-Samsung lawsuit strongly suggests this won't be the iPhone 5. All those leaks refer to the iPhone 5 as something coming out middle of next year, with super hardware and an edge to edge screen. Its talked about as the competitor to the GS3, which is obviously not coming real soon. By then, you couldn't release a superphone without LTE, as international markets will be starting to get it, and the radios will be much more efficient. So in fact, the iPhone 5 will have LTE, and this upcoming device will be some sort of hardware revision to the 4, much like the 3GS was to the 3G.
Of course we don't know any of that for sure yet, its just what the leaks suggest. We'll just have to wait and see to know for sure. But that's certainly nothing new to us.

The July 28th release date just seems awfully close to the Droid 3 release. Would Verizon and Moto release these two beasts that close together? I'm not saying they wouldn't do it that way but it just seems a little odd to me. I am all for hoping for a close release for both of these phones because one of these two will most likely be my next upgrade.
Yes because one is 3g and the other is 4g so they could market them to two different people. Not to mention the droid 3 has a keyboard.

So if it is planning on being released on 7/28, that is just over a month away, which means that we would soon be hearing a crap load of stuff about this phone (training, dummy units etc) in the next two weeks. I am looking forward to it. Fingers crossed that the specs are not total junk now.
