Bionic's still coming, is defintely new hardware - XT875

Guess so...this webcast is now over...on demand archive will be available soon.

It's still weird though that the "droid bionic coming soon " is gone from their website though.

something is brewing

I did listen to the whole conference call except being interrupted between minutes 5 - 9 perhaps due to connectivity issues. After that I continued through. Delays were talked about with no mention of the Bionic. Atrix was mentioned and Xoom, past, present and potential future.

Disappointing. Perhaps something later today.

On what site does/did it say coming soon?
On Motorola Mobility it still says coming soon
Coming soon

Motorola Android Smartphones and Tablets – Bluetooth Accessories – Home Video Networks - Motorola Mobility, Inc. USA

on the bottom right, there is little bullets that change the topic of the that small section. It used to say DROID Bionic Coming Soon...it has been replaced with a hands free driving tile. It might not mean anything but I would have thought they would leave the Bionic on there since it's a pretty big deal, compared to XOOM, which they now have 3 of those bullets about the XOOM.

They'll change it from Coming Soon to..."Coming Second Half 2011"...

Ta-da! :p

Since today is my birthday, it would be a great present to hear about a VERY soon release date!!

I can't believe that that is the ONLY question that matters to some people...data is what it is...I want the darn phone to come out. Good, LTE phones on verizon that work properly, that will do both voice and data at the same time, that is more important than whether my data plan costs $10 more a month; EVERYTHING goes up in price. For many people, the cost of the tiered plan will drop...

Cory,
Good phones ARE going to come out. It is just a matter of asking When. And to me, the When line that matters is Tiered data. Because yes paying $10 more a month does matter to me and that would force my hand into deciding if I should settle for a current LTE phone or wait. So no, I am not worried about which device I want right now, because I still have time to decide. I like my DX and I could stay with it for a while if I knew a good device was coming out in how ever many months. But if that device will end up costing an extra $240 ($10 a month for 2 years) than I have to decide if it will be worth it.

I hope this sorted out any confusion from my previous statement.

It's interesting though that nobody in the blogosphere has made any mention of this. Nobody from this site (or Engadget/Phandroid/etc...) has mentioned going to a Motorola event today. Seems kind of unlikely they'll announce a huge device without any press.

Oh well, I'm still in it for the long haul. If my D1 breaks I'll get a used one.

I just hope its like in my line of work when dealing with time line deception the subject usually says it happened or is going to happen later than it is so to give time to act before hand, rather than give a sooner or closer to accurate timeline and have to answer to it when it proves to be untrue. Ugh!

Once again you are assuming the "announcement" is from the keynote.

I never said that, or didnt say that
