Same here. I'm so ready to get rid of this EnV Touch. Guess it'll be the TBolt or Charge. Leaning towards the TBolt because the TBolt can do voice and data simultaneously even in 3G. The Charge cannot do this. If not for the TB battery issues, this wouldn't even be a decision.

TI OMAP 4440 = "The A9s run at 1.5GHz and although TI isn?t announcing the SGX 540?s clock speed, it promises a 25% increase in overall graphics performance (triangle rate, fill rate). Presumably the GPU is clocked 25% higher than in the 4430 (which could be as high as 400MHz).

There are more video features on the 4440 as well. You get 60 fps 1080p decode support (bitrate limitations aren't completely fleshed out, but TI has some details in a whitepaper- PDF link), and the SoC supports up to two 12-megapixel camera sensors (potentially for use in high resolution stereoscopic 3D photography). HDMI 1.4 and stereoscopic 3D are also supported by the SoC.

Since I know its going to be mid Aug, I'm going to Costco tomorrow to get the TBolt. They have a 90 day phone exchange policy where you can simply exchange your phone you got for any new one within 90 days. And mid-aug covers that with time to spare. I'm not sure why more people aren't taking this up but you can get whatever phone you want then exchange it and just pay the difference, if there is one. Perfect idea IMO.

I honestly don't think I can wait till the middle of August. My friends w/ 4G phones are really getting on me already, and everybody video chats/skypes but ME. my DX feels ancient.

That is actually a good point. I was assuming it was the 4440 because of the clockspeed. I would think they would clock it down rather than clocking the 4430 up. So you bring up a very valid point.

After this long of a wait and delays it would be nice if Motorola put the faster 4440 in it. It would certainly be a good move seeing that the handset is basically the Atrix ("old" tech) Maybe we will get some verification on this soon.
