Bixby button still waking Note 8 even after disabling the button and Bixby voice?

I finally signed up for samsung services, avoided their devious little mindtricks with the terms of service, disabled the bixby button from opening bixby and turned off bixby voice, but the bixby button still wakes the device when pressed. I thought doing all this would completely render the button useless until I changed it. What else do I need to do to make the button do absolutely nothing?

download BxAction and Bk plug-in 2 and disable everything about bixby and remap/disable bixby as you wish

BK Disabler, bxactions and a few other popular apps should work fine for you. They all work in exactly the same way, so don't do what I did and burn a whole lot of calories determining which is best. :)

If you decide to remap, expect to see a "flash" of some portion of Bixby waking-up when you push the button and before the remapping function catches the start of Bixby. Doesn't happen all the time, but they all do it. Again, don't burn any calories on this either.

I use BK Disabler b/c I wanted the remap function and I wanted to kill some bloat.
Great app. I like it better than Package Disabler Pro.

Bixby annoys me. It seems that every 10 times I wake my phone Bixby is active. No doubt i accidentally press the damn button.

try the new Package Disabler Pro +,single app solution. It is much better than older version and BK app.

Way easy to turn off Bixby - you shouldn't need to be bothered. The option is under Settings in Bixby.

Doesn't appear to be in the Play Store, only as an APK. I'll pass on that.

BK Disabler is hard to beat, as it does everything I need, really easily/effectively.

Regarding the issue of Bixby partially displaying when remapped, I doubt any other developer will attempt anything further than looking for the on-open event (when the button is pushed) and then rushing to catch that event before it fully opens, remapping it to the user's choice. I bet root access would be needed to do more than that. As long as an app looks for Bixby to open before initializing, there will always be the chance of seeing Bixby for a moment. I've just learned to live with it and it no longer "feels" like a kludge to me.

For me, I love to have my Google Now cards available at a push of a button!

Bixby suddenly, without prompting came alive on my Samsung A50 phone. It interfered constantly. I found disabling solutions on the In,ternet, but I could not locate the main Bixby disable button. OUt of desparation, I turned off my Nova launcher and replaced it with the Samsung launcher that came with the phone. Long press opn an open area of the home screen, swipe right and there is the Bixby screen with the enable/disable switch prominently displayed. I restored the Nova launcher and all is well. Switching launchers is easy with an app called "QuickHomeSwitcher, available free on Playstore.
