Bixby seems to work sometimes and not others

Any who actually tried using Bixby have any issues ?

Bixby seemed to work ok when I first got my phone last week. Now I press the Bixby button and it takes me to her home screen, but long pressing no longer brings her up to issue any commands. I didn't go out of my way to change any of her settings, so not sure why long pressing the Bixby button no longer brings her up. Pressing the Bixy button now unlocks my phone, also bypasses my lock screen which seems odd, and brings me right to the Bixby home page.

I wanted to try and use Bixby and have some fun getting to use it for different things, but I'm really confused why it seems to work at some times and not others, especially when I haven't messed around with any settings. I was hoping someone who's used Bixby and had better luck might be able to chime in here.

I have been having regular issues with Bixby myself. I don't use the button, I've been using my voice. For awhile I hadn't any issues but lately, the last couple days, it hasn't been working. Usually Bixby shows the text correctly but then it searches and searches, then says connection issues. I can take the same command, ask google and almost an instant response with the info I asked for. I emailed Bixby. They recommended I clear cache on the Bixby apps, which I did but no help same issue.

Can you change Bixby's voice accent to more english-australian ?

It appears that only US English and, I think, Korean are available right now for Bixby's voice. For US English, your voice choices are Stephanie, John, and Julia.

Grrr. I set a command saying "good night bixby" when I say that I have it set to turn on do not disturb and to turn phone volume down. It did both first try but now only will turn on disturb but not turn down volume. Same thing for when I say "good morning bixby" it will turn off do not disturb but won't turn up volume. In both situation volume stays however I have had it set before I say command(

Open Bixby Home then touch the 3 dots in the upper right to get to Bixby Settings. Then select "Language and speaking style". This is where you can change both Language and Speaking Style.

I've been getting the same no connection error with Bixby. It recognizes my command correctly but basically times out. So far the only resolution is a powercycle.

Thanks, I switched to simplified settings and Bixby works again. I know last week I'd gotten a pop up telling me Bixby works with simple settings, but didnt know not using simple settings would disable Bixby. I was worried at the time it would have messed up the settings I spent hours tweaking, but looks like it shouldn't change anything from what I can tell.

Ok I'm missing something. Where is this at, under Bixby? Can you send a couple screen shots? I'm irritated because I've never had to do anything to any settings and it worked gr3at for 3 months.

Mines not working at all today. Everything I ask it says turns out I'm not able to do that. Have restarted the phone and everything. Sigh.

Take the same command and ask google-that seems to work almost instant. Frustrates me

I've noticed that Bixby is less responsive when I say "hi bixby" or whatever you are supposed to say. She just ignores me half the time instead of the indicator showing she is listening for the next command.

The Settings I'm referring to is the phone Settings app with a picture of a gear on the icon, and is usually either on your home screen or in your apps drawer. When you launch the Settings app, touch the 3 dots in the upper right. Your choices are View as a standard list or View as a simplified list. Set it to simplified list. Evidently, Bixby only knows how to navigate the simplified list menu.
