Bixby?

If you haven't already watched YouTube "sakitech" I suggest you do. His tutorials I find very easy to follow and he has a couple relating to Bixby

Yes he's the only reviewer on YouTube that I've found that really goes in depth and uses Bixby for what it is intended to be. That's how I started using Bixby.

Do it from regular trial and error, for instance without going into the quick command menu just from your phone home page say hi Bixby and then say what you want it to do. Don't use the pre-installed commands unless it applies. I just sit around and think of things I want it to do then I'll keep asking Bixby in different ways until I get the desired results.

Once you get a few commands that you like then go back to quick commands, and set up your command using the history and then put the commands in the order that you want. I hope this makes sense.

Like for my optimize phone command, I asked Bixby 1 at a time and then went and made the quick command and added each line 1 by 1 from the history.
It really should be easier than this, but it is young. I've wanted to set up commands but have run into a brick wall. Thanks for the tip. Maybe I'll get somewhere.

I have a 40-50 minute commute and use Bixby heavily during that time. Trying to up those Samsung points. It's very good at switching between apps, adjusting settings answering the phone and many other things and all hands free. It will read texts and I can reply, again hands free though texting isn't as smooth as I'd like. I have to exit the messaging app completely to effectively send texts and it has a hard time with names of people I want to send texts too who have non-standard names.

The button is faster than waking with "hi Bixby" and I usually use that if I can use my hands.

Good information, I havn't tried using it for reading text etc.. I'll try that out. I do find the button to be faster and less embarrassing in public to say hi Bixby lol ppl at work tease me already!

But yeah, if you just toy around with it saying different commands articulating your word choice and being as literal as possible you will find it does a whole lot of things that's not listed. Once you get those working commands in your history the you can start working on your quick commands and using your history to set up the flow of what you want done.

nope. especially voice. it keeps popping up thinking I called for it. it quickly go disabled.

Can you make your own command to wake up Bixby - like ** Bixby? Haha that would be so awesome

Another Bixby question

I actually love Bixby but one of the functions I wish it could do is perform functions within an app once I have Bixby open it. For example, hi Bixby, open waze and navigate home. Sure it can open waze but can't do anything within the app. Anyone found any apps it can work with to do this kind of functionality?

Re: Another Bixby question

Hi Bixby, open YouTube and go to my subscriptions.

I know...but It only works with some apps though. I'm wondering if there some other way to get it to work with all applications. Hopefully there will be more integrated apps in the future with it. Like Spotify, waze, Shazam, to name a few.

So i had quick commands setup to open news.. It would open some news app and start the audio... Of recent news events... Now after the update it plays music..

I'll try and give bitchby a genuine chance, I'd say that once you do it could be handy enough to use

Not sure then. I'm still learning myself. I thought maybe out might have changed. Maybe redo it.
