Black Dot on edge of screen?

So today I noticed a black dot on the right edge of my phone screen. Its about the size of a sharpie marker dot. Weirdly enough I took a screenshot to post of it here, but it doesnt appear in the image. I'm wondering if the dot is a dead pixel? Anyone have this happen? Should I turn my phone in under warranty for another one?

Damaged screen, take it in for warranty repair. Not your fault

I have the same issue but was refused a replacement or repair because apparently it's not an issue. The employee at my carrier said it was 'paint' from the bezel.

Not you fault, it looks like part of the rubber seal for water proofing the screen or some sealant compound. That was not placed under the glass.

That's the lamest excuse ever. I've settled with it being a dead pixel(s). I'm just going to deal with it until the S8 drops. Rather keep it for now than get some refurbished crap that might give me other issues.

I've got the same issue, but it's at the bottom of the screen, next to where the space bar appears if you have the keyboard open, and is a little smaller. It's irritating, but unobtrusive enough that I have just ignored it. As said, I don't want a refurbished phone for such a small issue. I'm guessing it's a dead pixel.

In my experience, they usually bring u a problem u never had before that is more exhausting than what you may have been originally dealing with.

Samsung repaired mine under warranty for a similar defect last May.
