Black screen freeze

Hello all. I've been having some issues with my note 8 recently. Not sure if this has happened to any of you guys yet. The first thing that happens the screen basically freezes won't let me touch any buttons. Next I click on a certain app like Instagram and the screen goes black but the bottons on the bottom stay lit. And I am able to exit out that way. I'm hoping it's mayb Instagram or some other app that's making my phone act up. But it's been definitely glitchy and laggy. Any suggestions?

Boot in recovery mode, wipe cache. That should fix it. I haven't had that particular issue, but mine about 3 times in the last four months has frozen then rebooted itself.
