Blackview BV9900 cannot receive iPhone calls, Android incoming calls are OK.

I would not just turn off LTE. DO they mean LTE or enhanced LTE. Turning off LTE can disable certain cellular bands which I would not recommend.

SMS/MMS still not working but inbound/outbound calls are. Factory reset phone, no help.

Last update I got from Blackview was that they are going to send us a software update. Will update accordingly.

LTE Enhanced is toggled to allow me to call when off, then back on when I need to text! Thing is NOT working correctly!

So Blackview support told me to change SIM cards again and then told me to contact the seller to return the product.

They are the seller as the phone was purchased directly from them.

They are showing no effort to get this issue resolved, unfortunate because other than these issues it is a solid phone.

Going to be returning this phone and never purchasing a Blackview product again.

****tiest customer service and technical support I have ever experienced and I work in tech support.

Well, that's too bad -- I rescind my earlier praise for their tech support.:p I tend to group Blackview together with other Chinese brands like Doogee and Gionee that seem to have decent value devices, but quality control and tech support are lacking.

It's unfortunate because it is a fantastic phone from a hardware perspective.

But they are showing no interest or any effort in getting this issue addressed.

So screw em!

Yep -- a clear example of how specs alone are never enough.:-\

The other work around that seems to work is to simply turn off the wifi which forces the phone to use the network for everything. With the wifi disabled it all seems to work, slowly, but it works. No HD calls when configured this way, but hey it works for now. Some apps are very slow this way and some fail to load.

Hello all,
I too have a BV9900 Pro that I am having similar issues with. I received mine about 2 months ago. When I got it I took my SIM out of my Verizon S7 Edge, put it in my Blackview and it worked fine. After about 2 weeks, it started acting up. First it would go into screen lock and not come out until I did a forced restart. I contacted Blackview and they asked for a video. I emailed back that this was difficult to do with my screen locked and it wasn't like the phone would give me advanced notice. Then the screen lock issue seemed to resolve itself. A few days later, any call I made or received as soon as it made connection, it would drop. I called Verizon and asked to be sent a new SIM card, thinking maybe that would help. When I received it, their site wouldn't let me activate it online, so I called tech. They couldn't activate it either, saying that the phone was not in their DMD (Device Management Database). I was transfer to level two support.(Great people, very intuitive outside of the box thinkers) Over the next two days I spent about 12 hours on the phone with level 2 support. We ended our trouble shooting with me going to a Verizon store to get another SIM to try that. When I got to the store they couldn't find my phone in the DMD and then asked to see my phone. They went to make a call to their store with it to test and it worked fine. I left totally frustrated. Over the next few days I started to notice that my phone was always in roaming even though I'm in a heavily populated area. It would show 4G here and there but always go back to roaming. I started to also notice that my phone would only connect on 3G, CDMA. I then contacted Blackview with my problem. For a week and a half everyday I would receive an update or instructions to change the parameters on the phone. I would turn on the logger from MTK Engineering mode. Make and receive a few calls, send a few texts and then receive some texts, turn off the logger and send the file to Blackview. Like level 2 support at Verizon, their effort and response time was fantastic even though we weren't getting very far.
At this point I started to do some research and experimenting on my own. To keep this from becoming a book, I'm leaving a lot out and I'll just write my conclusion. If there are any questions on how I got there just ask and I'll reply. Or if any more experienced members find fault in my logic, please comment since my main gig is in the construction trade and this isn't my forte.
Verizon's network is used to be 3G CDMA. It is currently 4G LTE and through out this year they are phasing out 3G and introducing 5G. Older 3G Verizon phones did not have a SIM card and would identify a device to it's network by it's ESN or MEID. When Verizon switched to 4G, they started to use SIM cards which use a ICCID to identify the subscriber. When connecting to a tower their network matches the ICCID with the phones IMEI which must be in their DMD. If not it drops the call. In order to activate my SIM, Verizon had to use my old S7 Edge's IMEI. This is where I believe the problem lies. When my phone connects 3G it isn't subjected to the 4G authentication process and allows my SIM's ICCID to be recognized and I get connected. The ultimate solution would be to have Blackview go through Verizon Device approval procedure and have their phones added to their DMD, which I have requested that Blackview do. The problem is that it costs money and time and would ultimately raise the cost of Blackview's phones going against their founder's goal of making superior devices at lower costs. The level 2 techs at Verizon agreed with my theory and tried to add my specific IMEI to the database with no success. It was something they couldn't do from their platform. I then asked if I was able to change the IMEI of my Blackview to that of my old S7 Edge, would I be able to connect. They said "off the record" that they believe so, but couldn't make that recommendation or tell me how. In my last correspondence with Blackview I asked the same thing. Their response was "Yes, we are continuing to work on that issue and they would let me know when they needed further testing."
So I googled changing IMEI and found some programs that claimed to be able to do it with and without root. However I am fearful to try something that doesn't come from a reputable source. Years ago I tried to flash a custom ROM to a brand new Galaxy Note and bricked it, since then I've been too gun-shy to try anything like this on my primary device. Looking back I had no clue what I was doing and didn't have a community like this to reference or consult.
I have ordered a new battery and screen for my S7 Edge to give myself a back up device before attempting anything that could potentially put my Blackview out of service. Once I get it going I would love to hear any suggestions from the community of where I might go from here.
I know that changing IMEI is a touchy subject since you are basically cloning a phone. So I understand if there is hesitance to publicly provide instructions.
I just want to share my experience in hope it might help others and see if anyone has suggestions for me.
Thank you all in advance. I love what you're doing here. Keep up the great work!

Took the BV9900 to the Verizon store. It's not compatible with Verizon's network.

Tried returning it to Blackview and they want us to pay for the shipping cost.

Going to be selling on Ebay :-$

JoseCrab,
I didn't have any trouble connecting to Iphone's with my Blackview. I did receive similar responses from support staff at the store level and level one support when calling in. If you want, PM me and I'll give you level 2's direct number. The people I've dealt with there went over and above trying help me out and get my phone to work on their network.
To try and rule out Verizon's compatibility issue, I have changed my IMEI # of the SIM 2 slot to that of my old Verizon Galaxy7 Edge and switched my SIM card to that slot. As soon as I did this, 4G and HD popped up on the top of my screen. I then called Verizon level 2 and asked what IEMI they had listed for my device and it matched the one I changed it to. I wanted to check because during my trouble shooting with them the previous week we had tried changing it in their network a few times trying to get it to recognize my phone. I'm still having issues making any calls with 4G Enhanced toggled on, but with it off I can call anyone. I logged this issue today and just sent it to Blackview. I don't know if I can/should publicly share how to change the IMEI, but if you would like, PM me and I walk you through it, it's very simple. It's a shame you haven't had a good experience with Blackviews support. They have been fantastic for me and have really gone over and above.

Not having any luck with my 9900 Pro on Verizon. Cant use Enhanced LTE (calls connect then drop immediately), same with VOWIFI. Phone constantly roaming? "R" by signal bars. Cant check anything on the internet while on a call. Anyone with better luck please let me know. I like the features but useless without a cooperating network.

It works w verizon. I had to try 3 sim cards before they found the right one that works on their system.
Only issue is that some iPhone X models fail.

Whoever replied earlier about the VZW certification process was/is correct.

Unless VZW certified, you'll always have some issues because all the various solutions are just spoofing the network protocols. When certified, the devices are whitelisted and shouldn't have any problems.

Fans of BlackBerry Mobile Key2 found this out the hard way as the company wouldn't pay for certification either.
