Block TCP Ports 6660-6669 for IRC Chat Clients?

Hello,

I'd like to prevent IRC chat on an Android phone (HTC Incredible), preferably by blocking TCP ports 6660-6669 (and a few others). Is there a known app that does this, or other means of accomplishing the end result? I know that I *could* use an application blocker, but then I'd have to download and install every current and new IRC chat client in order to block it, so I'd rather take the approach of disallowing IRC traffic altogether.

Of course I'm open to other suggestions too!

I believe what you are looking for is called a firewall. I just did a quick Google Search and there was something as a frontend for iptables, which is a very powerful Linux firewall that has been around for a long time and can easily do what you want.
