Blown away

EXACTLY!!!! The Note 7 is absolutely the best most beautiful phone I have ever had. My V20 is on the FedEx truck as I type and will be delivered today. Then I must surrender my beloved Note 7 in a flame proof box. Although I have had no trouble with it (hasn't even gotten very warm with hours of use) . . I am left with no choice.

If anyone knows of a fine point stylus that they are sure will work with the V20 . . let me know.

Metoo!! I'd like to find a fine point stylus. I think it would be hard with the capacitive screen?

Here's one for you. https://youtu.be/RribQ_eVysY

Don't expect a stylus to be anywhere as good as the Note 7. Convenience, function or integration. Go in with very low expectations.

....... I feel like I'm cheating on my Samsung N7 with the LG V20....

Totally get that, "cheating on your phone" feeling, & i've experienced it on MORE than one occasion, too : )

However, if my current b/f was gorgeous, intelligent, strong, super capable & the best thing out there BUT then i found out from other ppl that he has a proclivity to "mayyyyybe set my house with me IN IT on fire" for no good reason, i might not have a problem breaking it off...lol

If you travel alot, you can't go back after having the super wide angle camera. Its incredibly useful. I'm thrilled now its on the front and back.

Oooh. Wide angle. I leave my real camera home so often, that is one thing I'm missing these days!

I'm encouraged by this thread. I'm also firm in not upgrading this year, but the end may be near for my Samsung affiliation. The V20 really looks like it gives me what I want. I'm not finding a downside after looking at the specs. It is always a big hit to break with what you know--inertia is a powerful force!--but I really like what I am seeing here.

I had wireless charging way back when I had the Palm Pre.. I liked it for a time, but I don't know.. I don't miss it. I know it's gotten a lot better since then though. Also LG's software is much more lightweight than Samsung's

I think a lot can be learned from Palm's wireless charging system. It was totally integrated into the DNA of the OS. If a call came in, if you answered it on the charger, it would be in speakerphone mode. Pick up the phone and it automatically changed to normal mode, Put it back, it was a speakerphone again. You could customize the display to show time and/or agenda, etc. while on the charger. The latest chargers could be customize. Drop your device in the living room charger and it could automatically start playing music over your stereo (it even had a special hi-fidelity wireless channel instead of bluetooth).

I got my V20 on Thurs and have been loving it so far. Coming from a Nexus 6 the V20 is great. I now have a great camera on my phone and the video is awesome. Glad people are enjoying them. Now to wait for the mad rush for them free headphones.

I'm still undecided. I really want to try the V20 (since the Pixel isn't on T-Mobile for JOD), but no waterproofing, no Samsung Pay, and I never thought I'd say this, but no wireless charging. Those have me holding back (and that's after a very long time trying to convince myself I wouldn't mind going to a non-AMOLED screen), and I still want to see the camera reviews. Ugh, decisions!

Oh, and I just remembered I have a Samsung VR unit that this wouldn't fit into. Great haha.

From personal experience, that won't work. Not even close. Save your money. Honestly.
For basic writing and even a little sketching how can you say it won't work? You can clearly see that there is very minimal lag in the video. It's not an S Pen but anyone can see that the thing works.

how is battery life without exchanging batteries, i don't like to do it.

mine S7E easily gets past 7 hours SOT, i know the V20 can't touch it but i wonder how close it would come, and how is the display?

16 hours of SOT with my moto z play.

S7E and V20 all crap batterylife.

:)

I've only had my V20 since late yesterday afternoon and so far my impression of it is that it's a very , very good phone.

What was important to me was build quality and the screen so I'll speak more about those than the other qualities of it.

Build quality is extremely good. The large size fits nicely in my hands and though its very slippery I enjoy holding it and using it. It feels " premium " period.

The screen is very good as well. Though it's not like the Note 7's amoled screen where the colors popped out I've enjoyed watching my YouTube and whatnot shows in the short time I've had a chance.

YES I'm blown away and very pleased to had gotten the V20 after the Note 7 issues. Its good to see more than a handful ex Note 7 users here with the V20 and I'd like to think they too are happy !?!?

The exploding N7 was the PERFECT storm for LG the timing was perfect... They needed a big hit and it looks like the V20 might be it.!!

Second day using my V20. Nothing but glowing reviews for me personally. After tweaking all the settings i needed to I'm very satisfied with this phone. Getting used to the 2nd screen and find it very useful. Was skeptical how I'd do without a led notification light, but the always on second screen more than makes up for it. Changed the icon size setting to small which works just like display scaling on Samsung. After years of AMOLED screens I'm pretty content with the LCD. The LG skin/UI seems minimal to me. If I had to complain about anything it's that this phone wasn't offered in a blue variety. The blue is all I miss about my N7 at this point.

16 hours. Riiiigght. Was that looking at a screen saver with low brightness? :)

I have the Moto Z Play and it does have the best battery life out there. I run it hard all day and go to bed at night with about 60% left. It is freaking amazing.
