I just got a BLU Life One X during the first 2 days of $50 discount sale, down to $99. This is quite amazing as less than 6 months ago I bought a Moto E LTE for the exact same price and the BLU is quite the step up for me.
So far, so good. The 1080p screen is beautiful - also, gigantic, in comparison to the 4.5" I'm used to. Used RAM hovers around 1GB, leaving the other 1GB free. Performance is quite snappy. I can't comment on how it compares to flagships like the Galaxy S6, but coming from the Moto E LTE, this thing is fast. Things load very quickly, since RAM is not a problem (which it was in the Moto E) and switching back and forth from opened apps seems instant to me.
I haven't had much time to play with the camera yet, I plan to do so today (I just got the phone last night at 7.30pm). I took a test shot earlier today of frozen morning dew and details seems very good. Here's the sample, downsized by the Google Photos app to High Quality:
Battery seems to be doing fine - it's been up for 4h today and it's at %90 still. The phone came with %63 charge that went down to %28 after downloading my regular 42 apps and setting everything up. I left the phone as it was during the night, not charging, and it only went down to %24, quite good. I'll need a couple weeks to evaluate how long battery lasts properly, but so far, it looks promising.
That's it for now, a quick initial impression at the past 12h with the phone. I hope it lasts until tomorrow night as the battery indicator suggests (although I doubt it, first charges are always weird). I'm traveling internationally on Monday and I'd like the phone to be on its 2nd charge so it's hopefully stabilized the battery duration. We'll see.
Questions or comments? I'll be happy to answer!
